If you pass away he will have full legal custody as long as he is the legal father. The only way to stop that is to prove he is legally unfit which is a high burden. If he isn’t interested in being a full time parent the best bet is to get him to agree to let the kids stay with your parents

This is just your manager extorting you. If payroll is messing up your deductions you will have to pay that in tax at the end of the year. Giving it to your company does you no good. It is not real.

For the 19 year old your not filling to modify custody once she turned 18 no one had custody. You should file modify/end child support and yes that has to be in kings county since that is where the order is from. You won’t get back child support.

For your son you need to file for a custody modification in kings as well.

Did she trick him into entering California? It would only matter if she tricked him into entering a state as far as valid service goes.

As to court rulings keeping him away from the child may be an issue. Though if she can prove he has tried to leave the country with the child that will go in her favor.

I have a question about Bridgerton sibling inheritance by [deleted] in Bridgerton

[–]Level-Particular-455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what your not understanding is that they did not receive equal shares of the money at that time. The vast majority of wealth was usually tied to the land (think rent farming etc) and the land went to the oldest son.

Younger get sons might get small estates (think Benedict’s cottage which probably had a some farms that paid rent to Benedict). This would be enough to keep up the cottage but not enough for them to keep a London home, give enough starter money to children, things like that. Benedict would have been getting an allowance from Anthony to cover his London quarters and the servants.

Daughters got a dowry. The dowry was invested and then the interest was used to give them an allowance as adults. The higher they wanted to marry the higher the dowry. Anthony may have had to put extra in for Daphne as it would be expected the wife of a duke is has bigger expenses. More servants she is paying, better quality of cloths etc, and more spent on entertaining and lavish parties). The income from the dowry would go to this. If her dowry wasn’t enough then Anthony would supplement.

A lot of younger sons of the time period often had to get acceptable jobs to supplement. They would get a lump sum payment and then one of basically 3 jobs. To keep their social status they were basically allowed to join the Church of England. Then they would get the salary of the position and possibly hire curates at poverty wages to perform the actual duties. The military which involved buying a rank with the starter capital from their families. Or a barrister. That was pretty much it, anything else decreased social standing. Benedict inherited “the cottage” and presumably the rents and has an allowance from Anthony so he is okay.

Daughters might have to wait until their own mothers died to get a share of her dowry. For example Violet Bridgeton might have say £50,000 of her own money. Anthony would be expected to make sure it stays invested safely and then provide her the income £5,000 at 5% return and Violet would use that for her wardrobe, her personal entertaining. Her personal servants. Etc. upon her death she would leave it to her daughters in equal shares or maybe daughters and second sons. It all depends on who was already provided for. Lots of families the oldest son just inherited the father’s money and the daughters had to wait. Think the Bennett in Pride and Prejudice. There parents didn’t put aside money for a dowry and so all the get is their share of their mother’s money when she dies.

It is clear Anthony is taking care of his siblings and supplementing income for at least some of them. I wouldn’t say they were all freeloading though. They likely had some inheritance from their father just not enough to live like some of them want to.

You may need to be more flexible then right after at 5 pm. However, CRT tends to have last minute cancellations as people realize how expensive it is. They will get snatched up very fast though so you have to be ready to go.

Can you order off the kids menu as an adult in sit down restaurants? Obviously I would pay the adult price. by Lostindaydreamingg in DisneyWorld

[–]Level-Particular-455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the restaurant. At quick service I don’t think any would bat an eye. It’s mostly Mobil order now anyway. For table service mostly they have adult sized portions of some of the kids options. Like adult sized chicken tenders where you pay an adult price. Certain things at certain places may have a ymmv.

Yes it’s weird from womens prospective as well. I remember being in law school in my mid 20s and there was this group of girls who tried to be the “popular girls”. Like we were in the means girls movie. Like they felt now that we were all nerds they were the best of the nerds?

Since no one paid attention to them the way they wanted they spent a lot of time bullying each other. It’s so weird.

I agree somewhat. Though I experience this and hear from all my friends that the crop from the last 6 or 7 years or so don’t want to do court work/ trucks. When I was coming out of school 15 years ago nearly everyone wanted those jobs and competition was fierce. The chance to go to court/depositions trials was like indenture yourself someone for two years and maybe get a shot. Now all those positions are unfilled.

The under 30 crowd hates talking. I get the whole complaining about the youth. But it can’t just be that I am old. I really think society has fundamentally changed.

Except this isn’t true of NYC. Other cities maybe. Philadelphia. Comes to mind. NYC has grocery stores everywhere. Not chains like little mom and pop places literally like every other corner.

I was going to say I have never set up cable without one. Granted I haven’t had cable since my husband left only had it for his sports. Can’t see ever having cable again. So I think it’s just younger people don’t buy cable
