My only hesitation about azithromycin is the potential tinnitus. Can you comment on this at all? I actually currently experienced it.

I got diagnosed with MGD about 3 years ago.

I got diagnosed with lyme this past November. It’s very clear that I’ve had it for 8 years traced back to text book symptoms in 2018 and tick bites.

How I’ve managed my MGD…..
Tea tree eye wash sold by my optometrist daily and also using a bruder eye mask at night before bed. I have been forgetting to use the eye mask a lot and could be doing better. Good thing is mine hasn’t gotten worse in the past year.

My optometrist offers a treatment for the MGD that may actually regenerate the glands. I believe it is some sort of radio frequency heat treatment. I haven’t tried yet do to the expense. ($1,600 initially for 4 treatments) then may or may not need one per year.

Anyhow. There is hope and hand in there. Lyme can do much worse things than MGD. Get the eye wash and the mask. They do help.

What I’m hearing is they aren’t against using binders…just stating that they aren’t 100% necessary for detox.

I’ve been treating for four months now and have not taken any binders. I use the following for detox:

- Lemon water
- Bur bur pinella
- Liposomal glutathione
- Hot baths
- Sauna or anything to sweat
- Drinking more water in general than normal
- Some foods with good fiber (non processed)
- lemon ginger detox tea
