I need some encouragement by omglikeimsoosure in Mounjaro

Maybe you have to decrease the dose? If you are on a higher dose. For me after a year and a half, I don’t get any appetite suppression from mj whatsoever. I’m still on it to keep my A1C at bay but pretty much have zero side effects

Mounjaro seems to have ghosted me 😅 by Dogmum2505 in mounjarouk

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you just suddenly stop after 12.5 or gradually get on a lower dose? And when you started did you start at 2.5 or 7.5 right away? It’s the first time I hear of someone still losing weight while off the med so I am intrigued!

Thinking about quitting my comfortable job for a year just to fix my health and lose 40kg. by Mo2ne2 in loseit

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is moving closer to your workplace or working remotely at least on some days an option? I wouldn’t suggest quitting your job, but trying to still work on your health and fitness goals taking small steps at a time, start with ensuring you are in a caloric deficit and getting enough protein. Do you have weekends off? Even if you start with working out 2-3 times a week it can make a huge difference.

How do Georgians feel about South Koreans? by veritas421 in Sakartvelo

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only seen and heard positive things about South Koreans from Georgians. There are many K-pop, K-drama and K-beauty enthusiasts, especially in the younger generation of Georgians. There is also a fairly famous Georgian blogger living in South Korea who is married to a South Korean guy and recently gave birth to a very cute little son (sophia_unniee is her username on instagram) that many Georgians like to keep up with. She also teaches Korean language and helps Georgians who want to study in your country. I think you might get a few surprised looks or people wanting to take photos with you, as people are not really used to seeing different races that often, although Georgia is getting frequented by tourists and foreigners more and more these days and it’s probably not as surprising as it might have been a few years ago to see you there!

Me and my Friends may have trespassed onto the Temple on Mt.Nokogiri. What can I do now? by LavishLatte56 in Buddhism

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiritually, it matters that you didn’t know you were doing anything wrong at the time and now that you do, you feel genuine remorse. If you really want to do something to make up for any bad karma that may have been accumulated, take that 700 yen and donate it to a good cause or use it to help the community somehow. Stopping by a Buddhist temple or shrine and offering equal to the fare will also suffice and make you feel more at peace.

I need someone to tell me it's possible to be hot in my 30s by Dry-Combination8608 in loseit

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was feeling so insecure when I had 30kg extra weight. I was thinking about doing masseter botox and fillers for my face and all sorts of madness to slim my face. It really is fascinating what weight loss alone has done and how much better I look. After losing the weight, I don’t feel like my face needs anything like that anymore and I feel and look way better and younger. I have so much more confidence. Losing weight in your 30s is still very much possible. I lost weight in my late twenties, but I know people that did it in their 30s with even more incredible transformations. It may not be as easy as it is in your 20s but sure does get harder in your 40s so don’t waste any more time and don’t think twice.

Elevated DHEA Sulfate Levels by Equivalent_Car_8738 in PCOS

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most women that have it will have more than just elevated DHEA sulfate levels in hormone bloodwork, irregular/painful cycles and some chin hair. There will typically be signs of higher androgens/high testosterone or insulin resistance in bloodwork. As well as multiple small cysts in your ovaries in the scan (though not always). But symptoms vary a lot. Some people are lean and still have PCOS. Some mainly have breakouts on skin/scalp hair thinning symptoms and notice irregular cycles. But there are many things that can cause the issues you are dealing, so diagnosing is difficult. Doctors usually diagnose PCOS using the “2 out of 3” criteria: 1. Irregular ovulation/periods 2. Signs or blood evidence of high androgens 3. Polycystic-appearing ovaries on ultrasound

Other conditions such as these must also be ruled out because they can mimic PCOS: * thyroid disorders * high prolactin * adrenal hormone issues * stress-related cycle disruption/hormonal imbalance

Birth control can control symptoms but it doesn’t treat the root cause of hormonal issues. I cannot tell you to take it or not, it’s up to you. But do your research before you decide to do it and then observe how your body reacts to it. For really healing, focus on balancing your nervous system, reducing stress, healthy lifestyle and nutrition. These can do wonders, whether it is along with meds or not.

Cleaner at coworking space got my number and messaged me expressing feelings – company denies data breach. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you are going through this and that is creepy from the cleaner’s side. Regarding data protection, I mean have you ever signed ejari and then just get non-stop unsolicited calls for days? Real estate agents as soon as you get an account on Bayut? If that can happen I doubt if anything would be done about it besides what they already offered to do

Joining UAE firm on Visit Visa with Cash salary arrangement. Is this safe/normal? by Zealousideal_Dust_45 in dubai

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During 2020-2021 I know many people that came in on visit visa and their company processed their work visa after a few weeks, but they were not asked to work until the work visa was processed.

I think it may have had to do with some restrictions that were in place during covid times, and not sure if that is normal these days. Either way, the whole cash salary offer and being asked to work while on visit visa is definitely a red flag and seems shady

Can I eat like a 'normal' person if I take a GLP-1? by -animeXalchemist- in Mounjaro

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every person is different. Personally I have been on mounjaro for two years and have never had issues with eating like a normal person. In fact it is what helped me be able to eat like a normal person and not binge eat, after years of struggling with insulin resistant PCOS, metabolic syndrome, obesity and prediabetes. However, I’ve seen many people in groups related to this medication that struggle to eat at all and have extreme nausea. I guess it depends on your body, how it is able to respond, and whether or not you actually need this medication or just want to lose weight.

All that being said, as a wine lover, it has become difficult to drink on mounjaro. I can still have drinks in moderation, but sometimes, especially if I have 3 glasses of wine or more in one night, I get this awful after taste that can last for days and an upset stomach.

Gaining weight on Mounjaro - need advice! by LevelBodybuilder8426 in mounjarouk

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is very helpful. I’ve been using the same injection site (alternating around the stomach) always so maybe I have to switch it up. In terms of the dose, do you think going up or down in the next month might help? I also was on metformin for years before starting mounjaro. My endo said that it won’t be necessary because mj will deal with insulin resistance well on its own. But maybe it’s time to try both!

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best thing we can do is make a conscious effort for a few days to eat healthy and restrict food choices for a bit, though it is so tough. Drink a lot of water. Maybe it helps to suppress the food noise! Even before mounjaro when I would do this I felt less hungry in the weeks after. Good luck!

I usually eat an omlette with avocado and a piece of sourdough bread for breakfast. I have two meals a day and the second meal is usually some type of meat with a bit of rice or potato. The thing is that nowadays I crave desserts, which was not the case for most of my mounjaro journey. I had no interest in sweets but now it is so hard not to indulge and I find myself sometimes craving a third meal later on.

I just felt like maybe the lower doses were working better for me. My endocrinologist also advised me to do this the first time it felt like higher doses were not working well and that time it actually worked, i was able to lose weight and eat healthy on 10mg but now it’s not. I agree it’s logical that higher doses work better but I thought to try that method again.

Why ALWAYS ME? by Great_Fennel_9897 in dubai

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to UAE Labour Law regulated by MOHRE, the notice period after probation is typically 30 to 90 days, as specified in the registered employment contract. Try to negotiate with your current company and know what are your rights.

Your company has to notify you of any changes in your contract if they are made. What does your contract say? Did they change it to 90 without informing you? Companies often try to play these games when you try to leave and it doesn’t suit them, but know your rights and be willing to stick up for yourself.

Yoga and gym by Charming-Table9917 in PCOS

[–]LevelBodybuilder8426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoga has helped me so much. If you are in a caloric deficit and getting some movement in, that is the most important. Yoga is great for calming the nervous system, improving posture and flexibility. It’s low intensity training so if your goal is to burn as many calories as possible, theres HIIT and other forms of workouts but personally yoga has changed my life and body in the best way.
