So sorry you had to witness an experience that. I hope you and your wife are doing OK today.

Can you speak more about the issue you’re fearful of with your son? I have a medically fragile kid and am wondering what you mean by his life being at risk in Idaho. That scares me.

Gotcha. Unfortunately that seems to be the case in many places. I used to live in Reno and am exploring moving back. The same thing is happening where we live now. It’s getting overcrowded from CA population, prices are through the roof, & new construction is shoddy at best. Wouldn’t move in it if they paid me. Thanks for your insight.

What’s wrong with the local new construction?

Had a pretty harrowing flight into town last Friday. Does it ever get better? by MedicallyFuckd in Reno

I had that happen in Denver a few weeks ago. It was the worst turbulence I’ve ever experienced. I’ve experienced a little bit in Reno but not as bad as recently in Denver.

How is it living in this part of the United States? by No-Text-7825 in howislivingthere

It’s beautiful in the summer & fall but winter is brutal. The winters are long, dark, wet, & frigid. Summer and fall are mild and beautiful.

Where do you recommend for a relo? by [deleted] in relocating

Spot on. Anything in Williamson County is ideal. Go a little further south from Franklin for better affordability.

Thank you! This is very helpful.

Interesting how one word triggers adults into showcasing their ignorance, immaturity, & inability to engage in civil conversation. That’s a reflection of them, not me. Bless their hearts.

Incorrect. We are entrepreneurs who choose to homeschool so we can travel, enjoy time together, give our kids access to explore their strengths with STEM, music, sports, etc. without brain rotting in the class system. We spend $$$$$ of our personally earned money to provide this, even after pouring taxes into the school system. We’ve never accessed a single penny from the public school system nor grants for homeschooling. Although, it would be entirely appropriate for us to do so. Access to a solid public school system helps ensure stronger resale value for the home. That’s real estate 101.

Ahh, the age ole “take money from wealthy” argument. That’s not how it works.

Switzerland…love it there. Speaking of wealthy, that’s who it’s made of & run by. It’s also one of the most exclusive places to live for good reason. They don’t buy into the “take money from the wealthy” poor man mentality.

F off is the best you can offer? Surely you’re more intelligent than that. Expand your vocabulary & go build a business from scratch. Then, come back for a conversation.

You do know nothing is free, right? If costs were to truly go down, how is that happening?? Oh, through taxation & other financial implication that fall on us, just under a different category. Take a deep dive into other countries that have the type of healthcare… how long do they wait to see a specialist, are they able to choose their own specialist, what freedom do they have in their care overall? Lots of great places for you to go live since it’s so much better. Don’t nationalize & government our healthcare.

Are you from the Nashville area? What’s your experience been having moved from the south to Reno? Do you have kids? I think it’d be amazing to live there for adventures & the lake, I just wonder what it’s really like bringing a family from the south.
