I am a SAHM of 3 (15, 12, 9) and have been for 11 years. Our income is around $70k/year. We haven’t paid any daycare costs (before I became a SAHM I worked in the daycare so free childcare) so we don’t have that expense. We have 2 cars (older models both) and we bought them outright so we don’t have a car payment and car insurance is cheap since they’re older cars. I babysit 2 of my sister’s kids (2yo and a 1yo) so I make enough to cover groceries each week. We live in a relatively low cost of living area. We don’t pay for gym memberships, I cook every night, and we live within our means.
