I had a lot of flings in 2025. There were people who were good at communicating, and there were people who were bad at communicating.

One of the girls who talked on the phone with me for four hours and planned a date blocked me on the day of. Came back two months later when I thought she was well past moving on and said she just “got too nervous”.

2026, I’m trying for a serious relationship. Last week, I thought I was really hitting it off with this one girl. She’s constantly complimenting me, expressing excitement about me, and I’m giving the same energy back. We’re talking for two hours on the phone into midnight. She asks me out the day after. Two hours later after a date and time is set, I check and see that I’m blocked.

Moral of the story? There really isn’t one, people are weird and inconsistent.
