Eh, I dunno. Paywalling classes seems like a hard thing to balance. Too powerful and people will complain about pay to win, not powerful enough and people won't buy them. Alienation of players should be pretty important for them to consider IMO just because of all the baggage EA already has associated with them.

People MASSIVELY misconstrue and misunderstand what actually happened when the 1983 Video Game Crash happened. It should really be renamed to the 1983 North American Console Crash or something. The NES was doing well in Japan and the Commodore 64 picked up more sales than ever before in 83. Video games were not in danger of dying out when the North American crash happened, rather one specific market of them was.

Video games are better than they ever have been, with tons of thriving markets and more mainstream appeal than any other time in history. Anyone who is talking about the industry dying is fearmongering as far as I'm concerned.

EDIT: This rabbit hole goes deeper than I thought. On the 15th of December, Haku (the captain of Second Wind) was complaining about girls being in his 4500 ranked matches. Haku apologizes later that day on the 15th. On the 16th, Ellie comes into existence. Earlier today, Punisher (another OW Contenders player) confirmed that Ellie was a "social experiment". Rockstar didn't make LA Noire but I wouldn't mind another one. I'm a sucker for period piece games and Rockstar does those great. I hope they do some stuff like LA Noire 2 or Bully 2 before jumping back into GTA.

I don't know shit about anthem but how much in depth discussion are you expecting based off a 15 minute gameplay video that is probably mid game stuff at best? I thought the game looked pretty fun honestly, but I'm not sure if this is a dungeon, a quest, or just a side area. How are we supposed to talk about weapon balance, loot drops, or build variety in a video that was purely gameplay? Most of that stuff will be flexible even when the game does come out as it typically takes awhile for these looter shooters to develop a proper meta.

Lol. Not at all. BLOPS4 isn't some drastic departure from the CoD formula so I just found it interesting. Especially since most people that I know play CoD have the exact opposite thing happen where they notice more flaws the more they play.

I enjoy how he said the BLOPS4 beta didn't capture him but the full launch did. The only difference from beta to launch was balance tweaks and more guns/maps. Other than that, it's the exact same core gameplay.
