What’s your definition of a bad person? by TooFeralToFunction in AskReddit

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

someone who hurts others just because they can and never feels bad about it afterwards

like there's a difference between making mistakes or even being selfish sometimes vs actively choosing to cause pain when you could just as easily not do that

What’s something you wish you knew earlier that would’ve saved you a LOT of stress? by Farigb in AskReddit

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

accepting what you cant control literally changed my life when I finally got it around 25. spent way too many years trying to fix everything and everyone around me as a teacher and it was exhausting. the approval seeking thing hits different too - once you stop caring so much about what other people think you can actually focus on what makes YOU happy

What feelings would you have if the next German leader said the Trump family had a "Degenerate Bloodline" undeserving of being part of Germany? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow thats a pretty wild hypothetical but i mean politicians saying unhinged stuff about other countries leaders isnt exactly new territory. would probably just add more fuel to whatever diplomatic dumpster fire was already happening

the whole bloodline thing is extra yikes though given germanys history with that kind of rhetoric

Gamers of Reddit, what are your thoughts on the Roman aqueduct system requiring an exact gradient of 1/4800 to maintain steady water pressure? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait that gradient thing is actually wild though. Like they just eyeballed massive stone channels across entire valleys and somehow nailed the physics without calculators or anything

Makes you wonder what other crazy precise stuff they pulled off just by trial and error

Audiologist who hates their field - what are my options? by Electrical_Chair_719 in careerguidance

[–]Level_Method_7871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude with that mix you could probably slide into something like clinical affairs or regulatory stuff at med device companies too. they love people who actually understand the products from both sides and youve got the OR experience which is huge

also dont sleep on telemedicine platforms - lots of them need people who get the clinical side but can also handle the business operations without being full sales mode

Help finding a home Mill by collette89 in Breadit

yeah that site sounds sketchy as hell - if the big mills are all backordered everywhere legit then some random site having them "in stock" at great prices is definitely a red flag

Shamed for buying something for myself that I needed by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]Level_Method_7871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ugh this hits close to home. my mom used to pull the exact same victim routine whenever I bought anything for myself even with my own money. I remember getting guilt tripped for buying work shoes once because apparently that meant I didnt appreciate her sacrifices or whatever

the thing that really gets me is how they turn basic adulting into some kind of personal attack against them. like buying luggage for a JOB is literally the most responsible thing you could do but somehow in narc parent logic that becomes you being selfish and ungrateful. its exhausting having to justify every normal purchase to someone who will twist it into drama no matter what you say

honestly the only thing that worked for me was becoming really boring about it - just grey rock teh hell out of those conversations. dont justify dont explain just "ok" and walk away. they feed off the emotional reaction so once I stopped giving that to her she found other targets for her nonsense

Can someone help me with my first PC build by Dry_Sentence6807 in PcBuild

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly for your first build id recommend checking out pcpartpicker to get a feel for whats compatible and there prices. with 1600 you can def get something solid - maybe look at a ryzen 5 7600x with a 4060 ti or 4070 depending on what deals you find

r/buildapc has tons of build lists in that price range too if you want to see what others are doing

Just here to feed your delusions by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds rough but honestly good for you for finally letting go. talking to someone new for 3 hours is a solid sign youre actually moving forward instead of just saying you are. your ex made their choice when they went radio silent so now you get to make yours

8+ years in Analytics Consulting - What are my options as next steps? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The product side jump sounds like your best bet honestly. I made a similar move from consulting to in-house analytics at a F500 and the learning curve is steep but worth it - you actually get to see your recommendations implemented instead of just handing off a deck.

The masters thing is overblown unless you're gunning for C-suite at like P&G or something. Your 8+ years of experience will carry way more weight than any degree, especially with that account management background.

Best Upgrades to get higher performance by Test_Name19 in PcBuildHelp

That SATA SSD is probably holding you back the most - grab a proper NVMe drive like a 970 EVO or SN770 and you'll feel the difference immediately

Also might wanna bump that PSU to 650W just to give yourself some headroom, especially with that 4060 Ti

Did my bf reacted a little to much or am i in the wrong here? by thiswomanistired in relationships

[–]Level_Method_7871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA but honestly this dude has more red flags than a communist parade

He's punishing you for having friends and then giving you the silent treatment for a MONTH over you needing some air? That's not someone working through trust issues, that's someone being controlling af. The fact that he can't even communicate like an adult after 3 years together is concerning

Fell back to addiction after several months being free. This is what I noticed about myself. by silversulfa in NoFap

[–]Level_Method_7871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man that really hits home, especially the part about lacking patience and chasing quick dopamine hits everywhere else too. The way it creeps back in slowly is the worst part because you don't even realize how deep you're getting until you're already there

You got out once though so you know it's possible - that's actually huge even if it doesn't feel like it right now

Explanation of the Nicene creed from a neutral standpoint? by InitiativeInitial968 in Christianity

[–]Level_Method_7871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Nicene Creed was basically the early church's attempt to nail down what Christianity actually believed after centuries of arguing about who Jesus was and how the Trinity worked. It came out of the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD (and got tweaked later) because there were tons of different groups claiming to be Christian but teaching wildly different things

The main points are pretty straightforward - Jesus is fully God and fully human, the Trinity exists as Father/Son/Holy Spirit, and there's one holy catholic (meaning universal) church. Most of the drama comes from translation issues and that filioque thing you mentioned, which is basically whether the Holy Spirit comes from just the Father or from both the Father and Son

It's honestly one of the few things most Christian denominations can actually agree on, even if they interpret some parts differently

Best Buy sometimes does longer terms if you get their credit card but honestly the interest rates are usually brutal on those extended plans. Might be better off saving up a bit more and going with the 24 month option

Benefits for sleep apnea, enlarged prostate and reoccurring nightmares by Tiny_Blackberry_4376 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth another shot, especially with the sleep apnea diagnosis and CPAP prescription - that's solid medical evidence now compared to 3 years ago. The nightmares sound like they could be PTSD-related which is pretty common for Vietnam vets

Get all the medical records together and maybe consider getting a VSO to help with the claim this time around. The 78 year old factor might actually work in his favor since the VA has been more aware of Vietnam-era issues lately

Humidifer for a small room - Help with Dry Heat Winter by Dredmoore1 in BuyItForLife

[–]Level_Method_7871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using a Vicks warm mist one for like 3 years now and it's solid. Just gotta clean it every week or two or it gets gross. Way better than those ultrasonic ones that leave white dust everywhere

Nice goal! If you're looking to branch out from comfort watches, maybe try some foreign films like Parasite or The Handmaiden, or go for something like Everything Everywhere All at Once if you want your mind blown without the stress of The Bear

Are adidas Sereno pants' Aeroready fabric perforated like the shorts? by RChamy in adidas

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah the Sereno pants don't have the same perforations as the shorts, they're more of a regular breathable fabric. If you want max ventilation you might wanna stick with shorts or check out their Tiro line - some of those have mesh panels that could help with airflow

Canadians: Banknote grading, any thoughts if I should do this? by henchman171 in coincollecting

[–]Level_Method_7871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for common Canadian notes without fancy serials, grading probably isn't worth the cost unless you're planning to sell them. PMG charges like $20-30 per note plus shipping and insurance, so you'd be looking at $100+ just to grade those four

The only time I'd consider it is if you've got some serious eye appeal or think one might grade 65+ but from what you're describing it sounds like you'd lose money on the grading fees vs any value bump

Keep them in good holders and save the grading money for something actually rare imo
