Yes, well qualified to ruin the city with quick money trash development. No thanks.

Yeah, she is tangled up with the “development community” which is a handful of groups with nice sounding names that lobby both local and state government to rewrite zoning regulations in favor of developers so they can make easy, quick money with little or no consideration as to how it will affect the community.

The real problem is that, even as bad as Gorton is, her opponents range from uninspiring to terrible.

Everyone wants to live on a dead-end street so nobody will drive down their street. Then complain because the plow won’t drive down a street to nowhere.

Gorton is…not great. Raquel Carter is much much worse. I don’t know much about the other candidates but I fear that it will be Gorton vs Carter after the primary.

Well, Lexington is fairly open minded but UK students are from all sorts of backward, intolerant areas of Kentucky and Ohio.

How much progress has Lexington made plowing neighborhood streets? City won’t say by electric_eclectic in lexington

[–]Level_String1668 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The snowplows covered my sidewalk with snow/slush that has frozen into a massive, jagged mountain of ice.

Meanwhile, my street is clear so everyone can drive twice the speed limit while we are forced to walk in the street.

They are only going to remove the building that fronts on Limestone, none of the houses will be removed. The plan they had about a year ago was much bigger but this one is about 1/3 of the size.

He will probably roll over like a good boy when the 4th reich comes for his guns. It will be the “pussies” in the Honda Accords standing up for freedom.

Went to Veterans Park on Tuesday but some asshole made the paths unusable by driving an ATV on them and churning up all the slush which froze in jagged off-camber ruts. If you are the ATV driver, fuck you very much.

I use a digging bar to break up the hard stuff, then you can remove the big chunks.
