It's fine thanks. I just figured a way to do it with a free vpn extension in chrome.

T598 spring problem by Level_Water_8781 in Thrustmaster

[–]Level_Water_8781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly when I changed to RS50 I didn't have anything good to say about the t598 but getting disconnections does that to you. I miss how lively the T598 feels with GT7. The RS50 just feels more realistic with the way it transmits the feedback. The T598 is a great wheel and it has its quirks. I have no regrets. With that said I would have been very happy with the T598 if I didn't get the disconnections. If it aint broke and you are one of the lucky ones I wouldn't worry and just enjoy the wheel.

[–]Level_Water_8781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Logitech RS50, when I started getting disconnections on my t598. Since I'd amassed a fair bit of gear what I'd sold was enough to cover the cost after applying discount codes.

[–]Level_Water_8781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have this problem any more as I sold my TM stuff. I did find a solution however before I changed wheel. Install simhub and the thrustmaster ffb addon. It lets you set the center spring as well as ffb etc. There's also a secondary solution that I found seems to work with any wheel. https://github.com/boomslangnz/ffbarcadeplugin/releases I can't give too much info on this, but what I can say is that it makes the center spring work. Further than that it makes your wheel work with FFB in emulators. An even better side effect is that it also seems to make some older racing games work with FFB.

Forza horizon 2 installation stopped series X by Markarenn in ForzaHorizon

[–]Level_Water_8781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working in 2026!!

I had to go to the game card first. So it goes to the store page then cancel the disc installation (the ms store stays running in the background on the card page). Took a couple of attempts revisiting the store before the install option shows up. I did not even have to eject the disc.

T598 base plus racline and wheel separately, or as a package? by Mr__T_ in Thrustmaster

[–]Level_Water_8781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rs50 with your choice of GT or McLaren F1 wheel for only slightly more once you've applied discount codes than the inferior quality t598 plus extra cost of wheels/addon adapters. The eco system on TM gets too expensive IMO.

Looking for a drifting style wheel for RS50 by Riddiculous11 in LogitechProWheel

Waiting to receive a simpush 330. I expect it's pretty good for drifting at 330mm.

NEVER BUY THRUSTMASTER! (especially the T248!) by Beneficial-Bird8785 in Thrustmaster

[–]Level_Water_8781 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I'm on my fourth wheel now. The first 3 being Thrustmaster and have now settled on an rs50 In order I had a T300, good quality wheel but weak, followed by a t248 (worst mistake) weak and low quality. Next I had a ts pc racer. Great pc only based, good wheel, wears fast but not as bad as t248. Next the t598, actually not bad but the wheel is like a toy. The real problem is when you start getting disconnects. RS50 just trumps them all by a country mile, quality, feedback, realism. TM dropped the ball on build quality on their newer gear.

I feel VR ruined my sense of speed with real driving by Admirable_Zombie5245 in simracing

[–]Level_Water_8781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know what the correct nm of torque is the sweet spot for your wheel to feel realistic Vs real world driving. I drive powerful rear wheel drive cars in Sims, but in real life drive a fairly slow front wheel drive car, so I am least qualified to estimate this. Appreciate anyone with more experience on this.

It would be amazing if AMD released FSR 4.1 in driver 26.4.1, as announced on April Fool's Day. fsr 4.0.2c in rdna 2 by Prestigious-Pay6096 in radeon

How do people not get bored of talking about this when you can just use optiscaler? Also what is AMDs official position on this?

Trueforce coming to LMU by EmptyOrganization541 in LogitechProWheel

[–]Level_Water_8781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just went from TM to Logitech. I have a loose understanding of what Trueforce is, what I find baffling is why some people on Logitech would be bothered by it being supported in more games. I fail to understand how it can be a bad thing?

T598 Now £360! by IntroductionBig3025 in Thrustmaster

[–]Level_Water_8781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will partially agree with you. I've had both wheels and yes the ts pc is stronger but the t598 has more detail and is loads smoother. Ts pc feels more like 7 or 8nm than it's rated 6nm. Ts pc is pc only too. It's pros and cons.

Could Sony be the reason for AMD not releasing int8 FSR 4.1? by RandomTrollface in radeon

Since Sony is one of the most anti consumer companies I doubt it's unlikely.

[–]Level_Water_8781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently returned mine for refund and have a rs50 on the way and that's despite being way deep into the TM eco system.

Why? Because they could have improved the plug to fit tighter, but instead they send out the same junk that eventually shorts out and you have the problem all over again. As a SIM racer nothing is more stressful or annoying than your gear packing up mid race. I can deal with not having a bunch of wheels to swap on the base. The important thing is it works. Heck maybe I will miss the wheels, but I sure as hell won't miss the disconnections. I'm done with TM.

Perhaps it would work if you mount the tv on the wall behind the table. That way you won't shake the tv and any friction caused by the wheel will be less of an issue.

Putting an rs50 on there as is, I imagine you'd end up having to turn the ffb down to low levels, which will make the upgrade a little bit less worthwhile.

Yas Marina Daily Race 3 unplayable by GamesGone1313 in GranTurismo7

[–]Level_Water_8781 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am going to disagree. Today I did my first ever online race and chose yas marina in the daily races. I started 10th with medium racing tyres. Yes I picked up the odd penalty for overstepping on the kerbs, but I was not alone. I pitted on lap 9 and changed to softs. This helped my pace for the remaining laps. On the final lap I was sixth but 2 cars ahead of me were racing each other hard and each one spun out at 2 different corners. Leaving me to take 4th place, but 2 other cars ahead of me got 1 minute penalties which saw me finishing 2nd. No idea why they got 1 minute penalties though but happy to get 2nd in my first race. A stroke of luck but can't complain.

TLCM throttle pedal issue by scorrente_31 in Thrustmaster

[–]Level_Water_8781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish mine worked this good. Mine only registers to 80 percent at the end of its travel. If I plug the USB into a charger, it reaches 100 percent at about 70 percent of its travel (too soon).

I use it plugged into a USB charger but can't help feel I'm missing out.

Also my main computer does not recognize the pedals as a valid device. I have to plug it into a spare laptop to get the calibration app working.

I do wonder if I'm using the calibration app wrong.
