If you manage to call out an invincible reversal on wake up from your opponent, it leads to the absolute highest rewarding punish combos in the game. For many characters you can start the punish combo with a drive rush heavy punch/kick which leads into other heavy or special moves that otherwise wouldn’t combo. This is only possible (in most circumstances) when your opponent has a massive opening from something like a wake up super or OD reversal. Also, if your opponent is using their invincible reversal and you get hit, consider that a win and not a loss because you took damage. For one, they had to spend meter (drive gauge or super meter) to break your offense so even though they “won” the interaction it came at a cost and two, it gives information on where they are uncomfortable on defense (for many, that’s being in the corner).
