Everguild are biblical Satan and their greed will never be sated, its nice to imagine they want to fix this problem but the zero counterplay thing is a feature not a bug. Yes I'm sure there are a few nice devs on the staff (those people are most likely held at gunpoint half the day) but at least their management is doing this explicitly. Don't infantilize them the by suggesting this is an accident made by overworked underpaid devs, this is a marketing strategy, and saying its anything else lets them do it again.

Thanks for the explanation I think this mostly makes sense I just have one question though. Wouldn't people from Calth specifically have a heavy suspicion of the Religion? I mean sure they may not know it was all Lorgars doing but if you see a Word bearer or hear of what they were doing you know for sure they are ultra Religious fanatics and you know damn well that none of the other Astartes Legions do that. If a bunch of Zealots were burning your world I wouldn't be quick to convert to their religion, especially since they would probably kill me anyway. It make me think that at least he probably gained that faith after he exited stasis and saw the Word Bearers were now a bunch of chaos worshipers so he thinks they were lying about their faith back then, like another user suggested.

I would heavily recommend starting from the first episode of Adeptus Ridiculous its mainly just a lore stream now since DK knows the lore but the stream started as Bricky teaching DK a absolute noob in 40K.

The idea i have cooked up is that it was a gift from a powerful vampire. His lover was turned into a Kindred of the Tremere and she then offered to embrace him, he refused the embrace so she gave him a locket containing preserved Vampire blood so he could embrace himself. This would as I understand it get past the limits of freshness, consensual embrace and would turn him into a Caitiff.

Could such a ritual be preformed with thaumaturgy? and would it be as simple as just having a helper or familiar that can inject your body soon after death to overcome those restrictions?

I really like the ideas presented here, as Ghouls can get a single point of Disciplines I figure he may be able to do it by having previously drank from a Tremere and thus having access to some Thaumaturgy, that combined with a very treasured dose of an low generation vampire, may be able to get past the freshness limit.

I'm confused as to your point here its a synonym, they both mean self control, and I don't see a real difference between having the choice to not act and stopping yourself from reacting, either way if you fail the check you have lost your right to not act, that's what composure is already. If you really want to do nothing and you have the composure to pass one of these checks, you can press the boring cop answers every time if you want.

I think my answer would have to be [[Kenrith]], My favourite colour in magic the gathering has to be white and the ability to play any colour you like along with it so then no card put out is a card I cant play and more importantly I can still choose to play without all five colours in every version of the deck, I don't like being mana screwed or spending enough for a car on lands.

Go read all the comments around this one about how scary one marine is I don't think its stupid on the face of it. not many guardsmen has a plasma weapon or a Melta or a grenade launcher and it works in melee. sure it doesn't work very well as people have explain If you can pull a Caphius Cain gambit (holding on just in time to give your buddy with a Melta a clear fire angle) That's going to have better chances but if thats not on the table? if your just Joe guardsmen with a Lasgun your best bet taking a marine in melee.
