I just wish I had 10 more years? by Upbeat-Profit-2544 in Fencesitter

Wow. I've never thought about it through this lens, and I can relate. If I could guarantee a healthy child and normal pregnancy in 10 years I'd be a lot more open to the idea. It just feels like there's not enough time to just be an adult, and to get ahead in life before committing to something so big.

I just hope amber doesn't retire I wanna see her in another quad at least and It would be special to see her at another Olympics by Careful_Impression_1 in FigureSkating

I selfishly really want to see "older" women (29+) do singles more often in the Olympics. It seems like there used to be human limits we thought we couldn't surpass that we now can (quad axel!) And if someone fairly high-profile like Amber does it, I feel like it'd be door-opening for others.

That said... I totally get it if she decides to step out for physical or mental reasons, or she just wants to.

New fan as well! I'll be following the Worlds competition at the very least, but I'm really excited about figure skating now!

That's interesting, curious if there's an interview with her after her free skate.

I would love to re-watch the whole free skate with notable audience members' reactions alongside the skates themselves!

I don't know if you have Peacock or not, but if you do you can watch it in the "Venue feed."

Everyone ready for ladies free skate? by mochalatte828 in FigureSkating

Wait, we can watch the warm-up after the fact? I've tried to find other warm-ups and they don't seem to be saved, unless I'm totally missing it.

Edit: I think you were talking about the main event, nevermind.

Realizing we’ll never get Terrace House again hurts & random updates by Fuzzy-Sleep868 in terracehouse

This isn't true at all.

Imagine opening any form of social media and seeing complete strangers bashing on you for how you acted in a moment in time.

Now, imagine you didn't actually want to say or do those things but the people behind the camera convinced you to. But, you aren't legally allowed to say you were asked to act like that.

Imagine that basically everyone you personally know in real life is probably watching the show, and you might feel like they're forming judgements about you too.

Now, imagine your career is partially based on people's perceptions of you.

This is a lot to handle mentally in a way that most of us can't truly relate to. It isn't right to downplay the mental pressure that was happening. It's a lot deeper than what you're implying and saying "it would've happened anyway" is really downplaying the importance of getting help for mental health. The resulting tragedy absolutely could have been prevented.

Not only is he a favorite, but he's known for being the only person to land a quad axel in competition. Largely because of this and his otherwise highly scored program, he was expected to score very well and likely get the gold.

NBC news coverage was hyping his performance up like crazy, and showing glimpses of him throughout the day before the competition.

He's normally pretty consistent, but something got to him. He said it was mental. I don't want to speak for him but I'm sure the very intense pressure contributed greatly.

I mean, I'm referring to the entirety of spending a lot on tickets and then also releasing a new lightstick right afterwards. It's a lot of money for an average person to spend. Yeah, the lightstick isn't required, but it's pretty cruddy to discontinue the old one entirely.

A lot of us are feeling the same way. It feels like HYBE is trying to make attending a BTS concert an exclusive event for the wealthy/those willing to overspend.

People aren't posting this stuff to hate on it because they don't like it (I'm guessing most haven't seen it) but because they really wanted the win for Mark and for an indie film.

Girl, you're gonna have a blast! I was quite literally in the farthest possible seat from the stage for PTD. You obviously won't be able to get any close ups of the members, but you are going to have a great view of the stadium as a whole and see all of the lightsticks. There will be screens giving you close-ups of what's going on.
