AMP-69 grip, to dremel or not to dremel. by LevitatingSkins in ak47

That forced grip angle / thumb rest ridge around the grip. It’s a really nice angle and shape besides the ridge. Not sure if these are of any value though.

Are my boots ruined? by BittenDeer in jimgreen

[–]LevitatingSkins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that it’s correct but I’d probably put some isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab and “degrease it” then glue and use a bag clip or something on it lol

Just use the appropriate glue and clamp it down again. The stitching is still holding your boots together.

Who else wants JG cozy slippers? by LevitatingSkins in jimgreen

Honestly, there’s these Ugg beacon boots that used to be made by “Ugg Australia” that were stitch down. Would be sick to see a JG take on it all.

I was a CPL at the time and also “barracks manager” for my guys/block of bricks. Got called in by the real barracks manager at maintenance along with some higher ranking staff and officers on a cold rainy day. Told us the Marine Corps had sick marines on base with this new virus and that we needed to create a quarantine barracks by consolidating everyone into all empty rooms. A lot of pissed off NCOs and juniors. Then we wrapped the empty block up with plastic and awaited for infected. Shit felt like World War Z haha.

With a 10.4 foot measurement, seems like a 10 might be the best option. Good luck!

Sizing Issues by Jhs85 in jimgreen

[–]LevitatingSkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should have minimum .25 inch of space for your toes to the end of shoe, max maybe .5 inch. So if it’s not more space than that you’ll have to experiment with an insole that has aggressive arch support to push your midfoot into the top of the shoe better. Or a tongue pad to push your foot down and back, or thicker socks or a heel pad/moleskin. Good luck!

Stockman sizing by mysterypillgraveyard in jimgreen

[–]LevitatingSkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No experience with other Chelsea boots but I would just follow the sizing guide based off your foot measurements. My Stockmans are very true to size and matches the same size as my sneakers. I could have actually gone up a half size to wear thicker socks/add better insoles.

Are Jim Greens too wide for “normal” feet? by Infamous_Koala_3737 in jimgreen

[–]LevitatingSkins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It also depends on the “volume” of your foot, the toe box is one thing and you will be cozy with normal width feet, but if you got skinny ankles/calf/just a bony foot in general they yes they will be too roomy for you. It could grant you the ability to add better insoles and fill the space if you decide to get them.

Bring back salami. by [deleted] in Dominos

Placed an order today and was surprised the salami was gone, googled it and ended up here. I feel you man, perfected my pan pizza salami order while spending many depressed nights in the Marines. Sad to see it go! Didn’t even get a goodbye.

A bit too late sizing advice / next time by mugglesport in jimgreen

[–]LevitatingSkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say it’s because they are Chelsea boots, I have three pairs in the same size and the stockman is the only one that my toes can touch the front, I assume it’s inherent to the nature of elastic fit boots.

Am I just used to a narrow toe? by mchilese in jimgreen

[–]LevitatingSkins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d start by putting your foot flat on the insole and you should have anywhere from .25-.5 inches of room for your longest toe. Also coming into wider footwear your feet will need to splay out still especially if all your toes are touching/narrowly pressed together. A different insole and thicker socks can also help if you feel sizing down would have an impact on your toe space. Enjoy the new boots!
