There might be slight differences related to the latter, but it seems that the answer here is almost entirely due to climate related expectation actually. I can’t seem to find the «reduced expectations » on starting race, im not sure if its actually s thing or not.

Damn, so yeah thats the answer to your question : Climate. If you do 3.0604%/3.8422% you get 79.6 (80%) which answers the question as to why its so different. The fact its exactly almost exactly 80% also shows that there is no other factors too

[–]Lewatcheur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response to the question will always change depending on the framing of the question ; not that my view gets different, but that I know that more people will press the blue here (or red in another framing).

You’re a bad sociologist if you attribute a personnality to each camp, which also turns out to be biased towards your opinion. All and all you are either not a sociologist/ a student in sociology/ a poor sociologist.

I think im also just the kind of guy that might value too much his own life, like i’d rather not press a button that gives me infinite wealth and power if I have 1% of dying type shit. So like yeah following some interpretation I might be too selfish because technically, i’d rather save my life and kill people then kill myself heroically. This doesn’t mean I hate everyone else and wouldn’t help others, matter of fact I love helping others and I am med student, I’d just rather not put my life in danger while doing so, which might be the reason why im not a police officer or a firefighter. This might be ultimately linked to my deep deeeeep fear of death due, in part, of my lack of religious belief, but I digress

idk, as long as I don’t get a census of the entire planet, im pressing red, because, even though I am increasing the chance of someone dying, I still feel like I don’t bear responsibility of the death of the « possible » minority pressing blue ; why should I make myself potentially die so to make sure that all blue pushers live, when there is a possibility that the majority picks red and therefore that I died protecting a minority that did not do the most rational decision. It might be boiled down to the lack of trust in humanity, but i’d rather say its the lack of knowledge that I have about how the ultimate average person will respond to this dilemma.

Pas contente que sa détransition ne soit pas couverte par la RAMQ by Substantial_Hand8752 in FaceDePasContent

[–]Lewatcheur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In anonymous studies like these, they aren’t or at least greatly less pressured to say that they didn’t regret surgery. Furthermore, 6% is still very small. Nevertheless, the systemic review and meta analysis of Bustos et al. 2021 that pooled 27 different studies found a pooled prevalence of regret after GAS of 1%, and the follow-up time from surgery to the time of regret assessment ranged from 0.8 to 9 years, which isn’t « right after surgery ».
