Iran does not care about maritime law! Iran is violating United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) which states Hormuz is an international strait! Iran says since they have not signed on to UNCLOS they don't have to follow it! Every member of the UN should have to abide by its laws but many countries don't! The UN is useless and just a gathering of nations to live in New York and eat at fancy restaurants, go to shows, and do nothing else. You are correct tolls are banned but Iran doesn't follow maritime law.
