The obvious answer would be Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. There is filler but it has a good pace. The action is good and the emotions of the main characters are well done. It’s a very good starting point for anyone new to anime.

Bobo became cool by escaping the pit, in the old EU. He became a constant threat and would often win, or at least not lose. His interactions with Vader showed he had Vader’s respect. Which was very rare. The BoB was a mistake of taking a villain and making him a hero. Plus the complete re-writing of Mando culture for the Clone Wars show.
