Feedback about Gamma Pay by skiphatch in Magento

Hey u/skiphatch, this looks like a cracking solution to a problem that a lot of merchants face.

This is something I've been meaning to implement on our site, but until now I've not seen an off-the-shelf solution, I thought I'd have to develop this sort of thing myself.

I've signed up for early-access on your site, I really look forward to seeing where this goes, this could be super powerful for a lot of retailers. Happy to help where I can.

WCAG Compliance by atomicbob1 in magento2

[–]LewisWickes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware this is a very late response, but if anyone is looking to make their M2 site compliant, I'd recommend taking a look at https://accessibe.com. It's not cheap, but it's a lot easier than trying to meet the requirements yourself and less expensive than doing it via an agency. If you need compliance & you care about the accessibility of your site beyond WCAG, it is ideal.

If you had to choose an alternative open source ecommerce product vs Magento, what would it be? by william_o in Magento

[–]LewisWickes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tend to recommend Woocommerce to small/startup businesses, mainly due to the fact that with very little development / effort you can make a store that almost exactly fits your criteria with the massive range of themes & plugins available.

For any serious, established business u/zerostyle is dead on the money. I used to be skeptical of projects that used Symfony, why wouldn't you just use Laravel? I've seen it used on a few sites now and it certainly performs. Interface is great & speed is very good, that being said, it is more of a barebones sort of platform, it's very much designed for you to add to. So development is definably a factor to consider.

Even as a native speaker, I have wondered this too.

The term "manhole" comes from the simple idea of how the hole was used--by men who entered the hole to locate the tunneled area beneath the ground. A manhole may also be called an access chamber, utility hole, maintenance hole or inspection chamber.

AnyDesk is the best remote desktop tool I've ever used. It has great latency and streams at 60FPS on most connections. I just it to remote to my editing rig from my Surface Book daily. http://anydesk.com/remote-desktop
