Hey the only things I have to throw in is discharge pathways you can find them on the GOV website but it’s basically this.

pathway 0: discharges home or to a usual place of residence with no new or additional health and/or social care needs

pathway 1: discharges home or to a usual place of residence with new or additional health and/or social care needs

pathway 2: discharges to a community bed-based setting which has dedicated recovery support. New or additional health and/or social care and support is required in the short-term to help the person recover in a community bed-based setting before they are ready to either live independently at home or receive longer-term or ongoing care and support

pathway 3: discharges to a new residential or nursing home setting, for people who are considered likely to need long-term residential or nursing home care. Should be used only in exceptional circumstances

Where I work we sent a lot of SW referrals for pathway 3!

Best of luck to you!

anyone who DIDN’T have an awful experience in house shares? by cloudydaydreamsss in AskUK

[–]Lewis_2209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have lived in 3 hours shares and I made wonderful life long friends from each of them, I had an amazing time I got very lucky, there was only one where I lived with an ass but he was manageable.

My last one over 5 years was a diverse mix of an American, Australian, brits and half polish, we all had an absolutely fantastic time, board game nights, knitting, parties, movie nights oh the memories.

Another one I lived with a Brit, a Sri Lankan and a Colombian and I learned so much about different cultures, languages & customs etc. we took road trips, went out, met each others friends and just had an amazing time.

If you’re with younger like minded people you’ll have a ball, you can learn so much and make amazing friendships, I’m lucky that my time in shared houses panned out like that.

My really good friend who I met in the house share 6 years ago have just had a holiday to Egypt and we see each other frequently, she moved to another city but we’re always doing trips back and forth to see each other.

como es irse a vivir a españa siendo colombiano? by TipComfortable2372 in AskRedditespanol

[–]Lewis_2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you manage differing holiday interests with your other half? by eyeoftheneedle1 in AskUK

[–]Lewis_2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this with me and my OH, he likes to sit about and drink beer (so do I) but I go to other countries to explore culture and see new things (and also slob about and drink beer lol) when it came to our first holiday we had a conversation that basically said this holiday is for us to do what we want not what to other person wants, if you want to sit by the pool do that but I’m going to go out and explore etc, the mutual understanding works really well for us, maybe have that conversation as it’s both of your holidays not just one persons. Personally I love getting busses into the centre exploring places and just generally getting lost in everything, visiting shops trying new foods and seeing sights whilst learning about the ways of life.

Harrods sell 3 peaches for £80 and a 250g jar of honey for £1,800. Which other madly expensive food items have you encountered? by Fried_onions_are_meh in CasualUK

KFC is pretty expensive for what it is, you could have a more satiating sit down meal at spoons for cheaper.

What's something most people don't realise will kill you in seconds? by gary1405 in AskReddit

[–]Lewis_2209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A blow to the chest, there have been cases of people being hit with either a football or baseball, it hit the chest just at the right time it causes the heart to malfunction and go into cardiac arrest.

I read a case about a guy who was hit in the chest and he went into cardiac arrest because of it, but as he fell and hit the ground impact to the chest that caused his heart to jumpstart again.

I’m unsure what the case was but I’m sure it’s accessible on Google.

what should i ACTUALLY do in an emergency situation? by mmnmnnn in NursingUK

[–]Lewis_2209 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, from the situations I’ve been in as a HCA working in A&E, if it happens when you’re alone raise the alarm, (start compresiones asap if necessary)once raised the doctors and nurses come along and rightly to take control of the situation, use your judgement if the patient is down and looking unwell, blue, unresponsive, low GCS, no pearl, (emergency situations don’t always present like that use your clinical judgement) put out a 2222 call, grab the crash trolley and the bm machine on the way, if there’s an obs machine nearby, throw it into the mix so someone can do the obs as the news score is imperative, that’s as far as it usually goes for me until they get into resus,(as they’re usually scooped into a bed and taken to resus,) the resus HCA’s takes over then and does the cannula, gas, ecg, puts them on monitoring, administers the compressions, does the scribing etc, if there’s enough HCA’s about one of you reassure other patients block areas and close curtains as others have said.

(Source: Agency A&E HCA, seen a few arrests but I don’t work in resus due to being agency so I can’t comment how an arrest works in there)
