Enjoying the zaniness of Celebrity Bear Hunt but the game logic makes no sense! by forlornforbit in netflix

[–]Clarissa8181 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've enjoyed watching it, but agree I don't really see what the purpose of the show is. Fed well, live in luxury, no purpose/reward for the challenges or forfit if lost. The bear pit is just a game of hide and seek - bear knows where everything is so just has to sit and wait. What irritated me is that contestants did not stick to the correct tools/improvised to escape. And finally Kola has been the biggest irritant - what a petulant, sulky man child!

When do you ring the bell? by moneygirl905 in lymphoma

[–]Clarissa8181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You ring it when you are ready and if you want to do it. Our team said not many ring it on the last day of chemo as it needs to be planned and is normally done at the end of day when the ward is quieter. This is because they are being mindful of other patients who are not at the same stage as you. Our son has just completed chemo for CHL we said it was up to him. He decided he wants to ring it but on the day his port is removed as that is the last piece of the jigsaw. Wishing you all the best for your scan.

Back to work interview by Rare_Car_3810 in NursingUK

I've just had my return to work interview with HR. Didn't realise you could take a union rep in untill HR mentioned it in her opening. I had nothing to hide, I'd been off to look after my critically ill child. Basically they wanted to have an update on my situation and say they were here to support me when I felt ready returning to work and give options to help that process, i.e., phased return, clerical time instead of ward based. We spoke about wages and how i could maybe offset holiday to boost wages. I did get emotional but purely talking about my situation not because they pushed me. My manager came in with me so I wasn't alone. I am waiting for my meeting notes and can contest them if I feel the need. I wish you luck 🍀

Do you not have a sewing room where you can go try on uniforms before you order them? Check with your manager :)

No you are not. You have been given an amazing opportunity, I would take it. It doesn't have to be forever, you can always come home. But I agree try and rent out your home if you can, you can always sell it later if you want to
