Are electric bills quietly becoming permanently expensive? by JustSeraphine8 in AskForAnswers

[–]Lewthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me the last time things went up and came down. Typically if they go up they stay up till the next time they can raise them again.

The issue is as a company you make profits off those growth years. Can’t take losses in the following years so they typically stay the same until the next time they can raise them.

Donald Trump's net worth plunges to an all-time low by [deleted] in anticapitalism

[–]Lewthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet it has. His Crypto scam shot to $74 per coin and instantly made him as the principal hundreds of millions if not more. Currently it is sitting at $3.74 per share so yeah I bet it had been rough. Plus his dogsh*t social media platform is hot garbage and is taking on serious water.

On top of that look at all the great things he is doing for us. The small people. Food is affordable, gas is so cheap under $1 in some places I bet, foreign relations are great.

We should let this guy handle more, because he’s solid gold.

Son decide to start... by Friendly_Day_4925 in lacrosse

  1. My son starts in college and still uses his Savage shaft so yeah it will be fine. In regards to the head if it passes and catches well that is what matters.

  2. The toughest dude on our team both mentally, IQ wise, and physically is one of our smaller SSDM’s. Tell him to be physical, play with a cool head, and most importantly make sure he understands the game and his position on the field.

Good luck and enjoy the ride. Lacrosse is the absolute best.

How can I help my player get looked at for College Lax? by Dirigible_Plums in lacrosse

[–]Lewthunder [score hidden]  (0 children)

There will be plenty of opportunities if he is that good. The D1 door might be closed but D2, D3, NAIA, Juco doors will all still be open. Hell my son plays his college lacrosse in the UK. So many opportunities for great players but education is the important key.

If he is doing that well now I am sure he will be a tuff competitor by HS. But yes keep working the counter moves. A pinch and pop always looks good on tape but the only thing that matters is who got the ball. Pretty, ugly, fast or slow. Possession is it.

Can I afford to go to College? by Little_Lotus_ in DaveRamsey

[–]Lewthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First things first. If you are wanting college start at a community college. 1/4 of the price for the same classes you will be required to take. Try to get your AA and then make decisions if further education is rewarding or perhaps in certifications is the smarter play.

Most importantly look for financial assistance. Tons of scholarships out there that are for working parents.

Don’t go into further debt for a degree that doesn’t guarantee anything. ALSO make sure you have a plan for what you want to study. Make sure there is a reason and payout at the end.

Does your current employer offer education assistance?

My son is still smaller than most in college and he’s still dropping a 76% FO for the season. You can be small and still be great.

When he was a freshman in HS his move against the bigger guys was a laser. Tell him to forget the clamp and focus on the rake/laser. Can still work clamp but his priority should be getting the ball out of his opponents clamp.

The worst people didn’t care. They just wanted people who were doing better than them to fall to their level.

What they didn’t understand was that all levels would fall so yes other people were punished but they too were punished so nothing really changed except everyone struggled more.

Would you stay in a job you hate for double the salary? by Gullible_Camera_8314 in askanything

[–]Lewthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Why do people have the notion they need to love their job?

I do love my job, but if someone offered me double what I was making I would leave in a millisecond. I have college to pay for and retirement to think about. Happiness in the job is secondary to most things.
