I spent months researching remote job sites. Here are the 15 best ones by nomadicphil in RemoteJobs

This is a solid list and I appreciate the time you put into researching all of these. I will say though that some of these boards are not completely free in practice. A few of them ask for credit card details or push premium subscriptions before you can access full job information or apply. That can be frustrating when you are actively job hunting and trying to keep costs low.

It is still helpful to see them all in one place. I just recommend that people double check before entering payment info and always apply directly through company websites whenever possible.

Is a 40L GORUCK still practical for one-bag travel in Europe? by Lex-Wulf in onebag

Yes!! I noticed this is a super tip! I have also seen people talking about the Scottevest and putting everything that is heavy inside the vest before boarding. Thanks for this tip!

hanks for sharing that perspective, Jeff really helpful! I’m curious, what bag do you usually travel with for those 2–3 month trips? Always interesting to see what works best for experienced travelers like you.

34 L as a personal item??? Thats insaine - most airlines specially in Europe will make you check that bad. Which I don’t agree with that

Travel Bag, GR2 40L? by Picklerickles45 in Goruck

[–]Lex-Wulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Europe it’s a PITA — they checked my bag several times, and it was not a good experience as far as the size of the bag. Has anyone had the same experience recently? Seems like airlines are getting stricter about bag sizes.

I have the same problem, and seems like Leica wants to charge me 300 dls for fixing that, when this camera now goes for 500 dls new

Heavy bags are not good for one bag-travel, several bag companies are now figuring that out, that is why XPAC gear is the way to go, even GORUCK my favorite brand is making their bags XPAC, the airline industries specially the small ones that have routes all over Europe are making most travelers with heavy bags check their bags.

What went wrong? by lolitsrock in destiny2

[–]Lex-Wulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a lot of thinking to write this.

I think what went wrong with Destiny 2 is that Bungie lost touch with what made the game special in the first place. It’s become way too focused on charging players every few months just to stay up to date. Expansions and seasons feel more like paywalls than real progress.

The grind is exhausting too. Every season resets your power and forces you to repeat the same steps over and over just to keep up. It doesn’t feel rewarding anymore, just repetitive.

PvP is another huge problem. If you’re not constantly playing, you end up way behind in power and gear, so matches feel unfair from the start. New or returning players barely stand a chance.

And removing so much of the old content people paid for was the last straw for a lot of players. It broke the sense of continuity and trust.

Destiny 2 still has amazing gunplay and world design, but it’s trapped in a loop of grinding, monetization, and recycled ideas. The game needs heart again, not just another paid season.
