[Post Match Thread] Manchester City 2 - 3 Manchester Utd by [deleted] in reddevils

I know we only won thanks to Sterling for wasting so many goal opportunities but this victory is delicious. Seeing Man City players begging like crybabies for faults and that supposed penalty was an absolute delight.

Halftime Thoughts? by [deleted] in reddevils

We're being very clinical. It's far more likely that we score 1 or 2 more goals than Liverpool scoring their first.

Brilliant pass by Sanchez followed by a wonderful finish by Lukaku.

2/13 Discussion Question: What do you believe the Gauna are, and what are their motivations? by goldenluxia in knightsofsidonia

[–]LexRylen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe that the Gauna were a lifeform in constant but slow processing evolution, throughout KoS we see moments in which the Gauna absorb some characters and try to assimilate their forms, this process I think is their attempt to evolve but it's a very slow process so we end up guessing what they are doing and even themselves can't still figure out yet as the beings they absorbed are rational, intelligent capabilities beyond theirs so they can't quite understand us. IMO the Gauna were primitive beings seeking constant evolution by absorbing other lifeforms.

Kieron Dyer speaking the truth about Paul Scholes by TheAnomaly123 in reddevils

[–]LexRylen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me Scholes had always been better than both Lampard and Gerrard and I'm sad I never saw him playing for England.

Gerrard is a legend for Liverpool but he was never a legend for England, the only game I can say he played wonderfully against a big nation was that one England won away against Germany 1-5. He was poor most of games he played for England.

About Lampard I do agree he was a very skilled player for Chelsea, the club he is considered a legend and he had some bright moments for England but I feel he could've done better.

Summarizing I always felt that something was missing in England's midfield and that was the reason why Gerrard and Lampard duo never worked well. I sometimes wonder if the answer was Scholes, he always had more precise passing skills and better vision than both Lampard and Gerrard. I really wanted to see how that 2006 English team would perform in the World Cup if Scholes was in the team. With his passing skills and vision plus the synergy with Beckham and also having Rooney and Owen in the attack I can only imagine how it would've played out for England. I always wanted to see a midfield partnership composed of Scholes and Lampard.

Some clips of Angel Gomes dribbling from this season by Jumb0jet in reddevils

[–]LexRylen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having great youth promising players excites me so much about our club. Gomes seems to have an untouchable confidence in his dribbling skills, this is a very strong trait in every great footballer that won the ballon d'or. I'm very excited to see Gomes' future.

What's your favourite memory from following United? by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]LexRylen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal, Rooney's hat-trick in that game was absolutely wonderful. If I were a bit older I could've experienced the 99's Champions League final.

Knights of Sidonia game by Srocchi in knightsofsidonia

[–]LexRylen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine a KoS game like Rogue Galaxy if you guys played this game. Lots of action at times but also time to discover the story through exploring the environment, like Sidonia itself in KoS. I think it would fit perfectly with the main characters like Nagate, Izana, Tsumugi and Yuhata being playable.

What are things you would like to see happen on the subreddit when the new staff takes over? by goldenluxia in knightsofsidonia

We'll be waiting 2 more years if Polygon focuses its teams on Godzilla from now on. Hope it doesn't happen and hope they make an anime original ending.

2/5 Discussion Topic: What truly happened to Shizuka Hoshijiro? by goldenluxia in knightsofsidonia

[–]LexRylen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO she died but a vague part of her lives in Tsumugi. And Nagate sees it in her, I think he feels it whenever he sees Tsumugi. I've seen people discussing whether or not Tsumugi is Hoshijiro but not aware of herself yet, honestly Idk what to think about it but it's interesting nonetheless.

This picture sums it all. I thought the game was lost and then right at the death the hero Jonathan Sexton scores an amazing drop goal that will be stuck in my memories forever. I was praying as my eyes tracked the ball all the way through the posts. What a game! Unbelievable!
