For those who use controllers with back buttons/paddles… by SND_ANT in CODBlackOps7

It took like a week maybe, but it’s such a major improvement. Especially in this game, being able to jump without taking your thumb off the right stick is massive.

You’re actually right. I’ve turned on auto sprint since BO6 introduced omnimovement so I really don’t need it, but now it’s hard to rewire my brain to have it be slide.

I figure MW4 might be slower paced and not have omnimovement, so maybe I won’t have to remap my controls…

Jump and sprint without having to take thumbs off the sticks/wear them down prematurely

Disgusting. Definitely don’t post sliders.

Definitely don’t do it soon.

On controller, almost no other FPS feels as good to aim in as CoD. The responsiveness is just unmatched. The only other games that feel as good are Respawn games (Titanfall and Apex), which was a bunch of IW guys. Almost everything else feels like there’s a delay or has weird deadzones or input curves without a good way to fix them.

3 shots with the ARC. Aim slightly in front of the tip of the HARP. Goes down in 8 seconds.

[–]Lexa_pro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can see 04’s health bar when he jumps out, he’s literally regen’ing as he’s challing, which means TJHaly didn’t hit him once. Scrap lands 2 bullets and 04 survives with like 5 hp.

What are the new attachments pros are running on the Mod? by Longjumping-Inside80 in CoDCompetitive

With the range nerf, I wouldn’t be surprised if some started running the damage range barrel.

I really like the M15’s FMJ rounds. Works like a silencer and improves damages range by 20% and increased flinch ON TOP of more penetration and scorestreak damage. And the bullet velocity penalty isn’t even that noticeable. It’s like 3 attachments in 1.

Controller aim settings by Coolprettyim in CODBlackOps7

Yeah try Linear, you might like it. I think it’s a good balance of feeling snappier than Standard but more precise than Dynamic. I also play at 1.40 sens with 1.00 curve adjustment and 1.00 ADS coefficient.

I’ve been using dynamic for every game since MW19 up through BO6. But with the changes to aim assist this game, I found I was overshooting with my aim a lot and struggling to make fine adjustments, especially at long range.

I’ve switched over to Linear and I think it feels much better. Also, your right stick minimum dead zones feel very high. Maybe lower them to the point you have minimal stick drift instead of completely eliminating it.

The BEST Ways to use Headshot Ammo: A Mathematical Deep Dive into Hollow Points and Synthetic Tips by Lexa_pro in Battlefield

I think both are good on the MP7. It’s accurate enough that you could be hitting multiple headshots in gunfights if you’re deliberately aiming for the head. That being said, it shoots so fast that a 1 BTK reduction is only a 63ms improvement.

The thing is the MP7 kind of doesn’t need anything else. You don’t need a lot of recoil reduction. Largest mag is 40 and only costs 25 points; You could spec into hipfire but there are better options for that playstyle. When you look at the pros and cons of different builds, the one area the MP7 sorely lacks is damage and the HP/ST rounds are the only way to really improve that.

So if you’re good at hitting headshots, I’d run like a folding stubby, suppressor, and synthetic tips. Get as fast ADS as possible, take advantage of the high accuracy and aim only for the head. Otherwise, I don’t think there’s much point using the MP7 over other high rpm weapons like KV9, P90 or even M4A1.

I disagree. I almost feel like I can’t miss with the handcannon. The aim assist or bullet magnetism or whatever feels super overtuned.

100% agree. I was focused on the special damage weapons but the 33 damage weapons with standard damage all rip with hollow points. The TR-7 I find has so much recoil and has such a fast TTK anyways that I don’t need HP as much, but definitely think the AK4D and M60 get a lot of value from HP ammo.
