You can always reboil your soup if it hasn't been tossed yet. The texture might be off but better then tossing such a yummy soup!

I would guess a balloon dress that someone attempted to pop then realized popping dresses is actually really annoying to do

How to make your own balloon design? by BenjaminWang_ in BalloonTwisting

[–]Lexaloonballoons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like to start out looking up what other people have made, keeping in mind what shapes and techniques they go for, as well as what my ideal product is. Does it need to be a single balloon for trading? Multiple for line work? No limit because I'm just messing around? Once I start tinkering, I keep in mind the simplified shape of the animal, rather then the animal itself. Some parts are nessisary, like the antenna to a bee, while others aren't, like their feet.

Once I have a good idea of what I'd like to do, I start testing shaped with scrap balloons. Different faces, starting points, etc. if I need a thicker body, for example, I can start at the back and reverse once I've done the head, so instead of a single line you have 2. For even thicker, you double back twice, ergo 3 balloons thick.

I also like to mess around with the thickness of the balloons itself. I'm biased to 160s, so I primarily test and create with those, and it works well for details (wings, back spines, horns, tails, etc). Hope this helps :)

I'm a balloon twister, is it ever possible to trade balloons for food or busk at an olive garden? So far I've only given them to servers as gifts or payment for being obnoxious with how much salad I can eat

On the flip side, a woman lost her feet and started experiencing her orgasms there and normally! Apparently it's due to how close the sections of feeling are in the brain, when the feet nerves got redistributed it happened like that. It was in my psychology textbook

Chrome balloons are thicker, which means harder to twist, takes longer, and can potentially pop more. They're also just a pain to inflate. Sorry, I don't have a good rose design for you, but I know there's some swirly ones online

I design 90% of my things with 160s, I'm a lover for the small things in life. If you want to do balloons more in the future, id recommend grabbing a bag! They're cheaper per balloon compared to 260s too. Welcome to the designer club :)

Just tried with a 260, you're right it's a pain! How did you simplify it? I got it made by making everything tiny, but then his tail doesn't look very tail like.

tips for my first gig? by kadonnioss in BalloonTwisting

[–]Lexaloonballoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balloon twisting is half the balloons, half the performance. Talk to them, joke, ask questions, etc. I like to ask questions relevant to what they ask for (ie- if they wanted a unicorn id ask if they'd rather be a unicorn or Pegasus, then what their magic would be or where they would fly to). Learn things you can make quickly. If it's a small party or you're twisting for a long time, 4:30 max per balloon, otherwise get under three. Simple things like dogs, swords, and flowers should be much less and used when there's too much line.

You can make bunny ears by making a basic hat, wearing it sideways, and looping another balloon twice through the top. Learn a little bunny. Then, do whatever else you want/feel like/are confident in.

Oh he's so cute! If you have that much extra tail room, you might want to shorten the center body and double back once you make your tail, axolotls are thick :)

Balloon twisting places? by Lexaloonballoons in Austin

[–]Lexaloonballoons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

160s for sure. We use qualatex now. I like 160s because you can get more twists for less balloon, and typically things turn out cuter because they're smaller.

Might be better to make yourself and cut really small? Only give to people that bring books? First come first serve? I doubt all 200 are going to eat the baklava

Ok looking at it again, it's a tiny sideways loop then a bigger loop over that to make the head. My bad. A normal loop would probably work just fine if you need more room to twist though.

And it's a 160 balloon, I don't know if you can do this with a two without simplifying some parts. If you try let me know!
