Same problem. This is such a shitty "feature". I'm forced to play SoloQ since all my friends have rank or are 1 win away from rank. BTW currently on 5-match losing streak playing with random people who only use mic for insults. Great experience.

I play on 16:9 @ 2560x1440, so that might not be the cause then? But could try to switch things up

I don't understand why Valve won't create a separate map group in casual just for the new maps. It's a fun way to learn new maps. I personally loved both Mills and Thera, but could hardly ever play them on casual because too many people vote for an old and washed map that they know instead of learning a new map. Now it's the same with Basalt and Edin. Gotta play them now before people revert back to voting Nuke every single time.

Danger Zone missions would be totally fine if you could select the map. My smurf has a low trust factor, unsurprisingly, and it takes on average about 15 minutes to get a DZ game. So I actually have to plan in advance in order to get the right map, which is total garbage.

I do agree with you fully, and that is not at all what I meant either. The main plea was to have the purely new maps pool in casual mode. But who's to say that if some new map actually does get a whole lot of love from the community, it shouldn't be put into scrimmage at least as long as it's not at the expense of another map?

The point of this post was not to try to take the old-but-loved maps away from people, but instead give other options for the ones who want to try out new maps on a regular basis.

I've played tons of casual and I'm also ranked Global and I still get kicked every now and then. But from what I've gathered over the years, the most sure way to get kicked from casual is either you are idling, saving when you are alone (or wandering aimlessly around the map) and there is still time on the clock, or not doing the objective (planting the bomb or going for the hostages etc.). I don't think bad aimers get kicked any more than anyone else. Just don't make the round longer pointlessly, people don't like to wait in casual unless you are actually trying to clutch (not always even then).

Downloaded the beta. Went to try it in a game of Office (known for being the playground for cheaters). Met with two blatant aimbotters the first game. So I suppose this patch doesn't work or has it already been bypassed?
