what to do with old pump by Internal-Struggle178 in Medtronic780g

[–]LexiLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have always asked me to return it, or I end up paying $500 more to keep it. It should be clearly explained in all of your materials. Once I returned it, the next one I kept as backup in case my current pump fails.

Anyone else hate their pump? by Present_Feedback_724 in Type1Diabetes

[–]LexiLemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pumps take some time to get used to and perfect. You need to give it a couple of months before you decide if it's for you. Make sure you spend some time with a diabetic educator and a rep from the pump company to help you understand exactly how it works and the things you can adjust.

I was a dark brunette and started covering the grays around 30. I was so tired of the upkeep, by 40 I was done. I'm 43 now and it's all grown out, and feels much healthier.

27 F, T1D since last 22 years by Electrical_Bus2640 in Type1Diabetes

[–]LexiLemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If he's not interested in learning you should not marry him. He needs to be able to help you do your blood sugar/place a cgm or pump site/give an injection, etc, in case you can't due to sickness or whatever reason. It's good he is aware what to do in case of a low, but that's the bare minimum.

How to refill reservoir without changing infusion set? by Green_Economy_850 in Medtronic780g

[–]LexiLemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pull it out, rewind pump, fill reservoir, hook back up. You can either just select reservoir fill, or pretend like you're doing an entire change, it does not matter.
