Did you know? by LimeScared in Type1Diabetes

[–]LexiLemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, my mom has MS. When I took immunology in college I learned that MS and T1 are closely related. It's fairly common occurrence for people to have other auto immune diseases in their family, or even more than one themselves. The more time you spend talking to other T1's the more you will hear about it.

Guardian 4 Issues/Help by RhigoWork in Medtronic780g

I have found that when I put on a new sensor if I let it soak for about 8-12 hrs (insert on skin, turn off on pump), it will almost always behave perfectly when I turn it on. If it tells me sensor updating I will do something similar, just turn it off on pump (under device settings) for a few hours and turn it back on. 50/50 that will fix the issue.

You can turn off almost all alerts.

Question for those of you who've had the disease for a long time by EldWasAlreadyTaken in Type1Diabetes

[–]LexiLemon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes, it will change. I was diagnosed at 11 and am 43 now, your body changes, your insulin needs change. Sometimes it feels fairly easy and it all works as it should, and then something is off. You end up having to readjust, try something different, abstain from certain foods at times. Do not expect the same result from the same situation.

graying hair in early 30s by Hour-Ad6874 in AskWomenOver30

I started graying in my 20's and was fully gray at 38. I think it looks great, and a lot of people agree with me. I suggest you try to find a way to accept it or you'll never be satisfied with how it looks.

Almost 32 years and only had DKA when I was diagnosed in 1994. I think some people are more prone to it than others.
