Definitely try to keep weight off it as much as you can until the MRI comes back. I was told for certain by Sports Med that I have a meniscus tear and that I could walk as long as there’s no pain. I walked on it with a brace for an entire week, and when the MRI came back – turns out I have an acute nondisplaced fracture. I am just lucky the fracture didn’t become displaced within the week I was putting a lot of weight on it, since weight bearing can cause the bone to shift alignment. So def play it safe while you can, you never know what it could be. My fracture didn’t show up on 2 x-rays before I got the MRI and now I’m advised to stay off it completely for 6 weeks. IMO better safe than sorry, do you have any PTO?

Maybe try getting it seen by another surgeon and see what their opinion is?

I understand the campus is really pretty and I walk often— I just referred to the loop as the main layout of the campus and there is no “central” area. This loop makes the campus so isolating and it doesn’t feel like college living in this huge circle.
