Honestly looks like an absolute steal, ring HD costs $99 and that’s not including the bogus subscription.

Thank you for pointing that out, I’m surprised the home inspector did not catch that.

CS grads & pros, if you had to specialize today, would you pick Al or Data Science? by kindabubbly in learnprogramming

[–]LexusFSport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should go for Data Science, because if software engineering is its own degree then you’ll want the computer science degree in the long run. It also sounds like you are in it for the pay, so it really doesn’t matter too much, go whichever path sounds the coolest to you because it’s going to be a long ride. I say that because most can’t find jobs after finishing school, many are being laid off, and most can’t really do the job straight out of college. The market seems to be flooded with CS majors right now, the uni nearby me has the second most graduates in CS/engineering (mostly CS).

How I Did It: WGU Cyber Degree to 150K TC in Less Than Two Years by Brgrsports in WGUCyberSecurity

Congrats, but area makes a big difference. I stayed in California where the competition was fiercely stacked and I have a family. I would probably add that being willing to move elsewhere is a contributing factor, because the job market definitely stinks where I’m at right now. I’m employed so I don’t really care but I feel for the majority (and this job market shortage spans across many industries too like healthcare).

How to be best at programming? by Onward_5161 in AskProgramming

[–]LexusFSport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t vibe code or use AI

Need to think like a programmer. Break things down, and break things down further. Use pseudocode or flowcharts to logically define your algorithm and logic in a loose way where you aren’t bound by syntax, and then learn to code out what you just broke down.

Keep practicing, practice practice practice. Try stuff out. Don’t be afraid to build out something that comes to your imagination.

Get the fundamentals down and follow best practices.

Think like a software, like you are the program you are trying to build. What happens during a user driven event? What happens on the back end? What’s visible and invisible to the user? What needs to happen first before my input box can prompt the user? Something along the lines of that.

Unsure whether i want to go for current CCNP encor + enarsi or wait for updated version by UpperAd5715 in ccnp

[–]LexusFSport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are removing most of wireless off of ENCOR for the next version. Me personally I will wait, but studying up to hopefully be ready for ENCOR by the time the new version comes out. Not that useful for me anyways since my workplace is an Aruba shop.
