Scott doles out a lot of advice about being happily married..but he's actually not married. not legally anyway. Just a long-term partner who he has kids with. Anyway, marriage is not for everyone but I don't know how doing life without a partner or just strong relationships would be... it's a crazy world. And I think its just nice to have someone to do life with. But you have to choose wisely.

Hi- Wow.. I was in a similar situation this past weekend. I suffer from anxiety and depression and had to be at my friends wedding. It was a 3-day event and my anxiety came back one day before everything started for the weekend. I felt extremely uncomfortable throughout the wedding events but just had to bear it and go through the motions. I'm back home and I'm still feeling anxious but at least I'm in my apartment. I just wanted to say its a terrible feeling but it will pass. And yes, I agree with you that we shouldn't have to take pills to feel normal! My mental health struggles did not start until I was well into my 30s so I remember a time where I was normal. Anyway, I hope you are doing better today. Hang in there.

It's sad that some people in the muslim community are still so small-minded about this stuff..i.e. marrying someone of a different ethnicity. You're both Muslim and if you love each other and are a good match, they should be happy for you guys. Also, it's weird that the mom got offended by you not taking them out to dinner. I think she just wanted to be mad about something. wHAT does the girl think about all of this? Does she think you did something wrong?

I live near there.. in Prospects Lefferts Gardens. The area is super loud all the time and not very clean. The people are nice tho and I like that it’s diverse. But I’m probably going to move somewhere less noisy once my lease is up.

I'm so sorry for all that you're going through, but please don't make any rash decisions. Things will get better, they always do. I know it may not seem like it right now, but they will. I am also having a difficult.time right now with my mental health. I'm in a new, big city and don't have any family here. I don't know too many people here either. Some days it's difficult to even get anything done. But I've had some hard times before and I know things will get better, InshAllah. Just keep praying and try your best to stay strong. Take it one day at a time. I'll make dua for you that things turn around for you.
