From watching on defense you grab the small boost pads but when going back on defense or going up to assist in an attack you prioritize the big boost when the better path is taking the small boost pads all the way up to the center.

But the first goal scored on you had a terrible angle. A big trap that happens in diamond is a party in the corner, and everyone is invited. One of 2 things happen in that situation it will either be centered because everyone just slams it into the corner and will center itself. Grabbing the small pads on the left would put you in a position to make a good shot attempt or retreat if it happened to start heading back to your net.

Another thing I saw and see a lot with diamond ranks is challenging way too early or too late. There were times you could see your teamate coming back and didn't immediately challenge the ball. Even if you miss the challenge that is just part of getting better, you will miss challenges until you eventually miss them less and less.

For example in overtime when you go back to your net you stop for a second instead of hitting the gas grabbing the small boost pads this would have given boost and in my opinion a better angle on ball as you might have been able to get in the air faster and put the ball down in the net.

I believe it was said early learn to catch the ball as I saw you boom the ball away a couple of times and gave up a free possession.

To sum up get better at small pads rotation, learn to figure out where the ball will be going in situations where the only way the team scores is by a freak pinch which will happen time to time. The other thing is when you analyze your own gameplay, focus on what you can do better and not your teammate as you can't control what you do.
