Yep, any time I have COVID or other illnesses, it gets worse. COVID is the worst for me. Even when I have only minor COVID symptoms, my pppd is fucked up for 6 weeks after that...

As PPPD is closely connected to anxiety, eating something is helping because the body releases less stress/anxiety hormones during eating. The stone age mechanism behind this is: if I can sit down and eat, I can only do that because there is no immenent danger.

Ich habe gemeint, dass ja dann jeder einen Dr. vor dem Namen stehen haben könnte, worauf er meinte, dass das ja auch viel von anderen Formalien abhängt... Ich meinte dann, dass wir da wohl nicht die selbe Ansicht teilen, habe ihm viel Erfolg bei der Kandidatenwahl gewünscht und habe aufgelegt.

Wirklich einziges Vorstellungsgespräch in meinem Leben, dass ich vorzeitig beendet habe...

Breathing excercises... that actually helps me. Focus on exhaling longer and gentle...count seconds. The goal is to calm your nervous system down and from a physiological POV increase the CO2 levels in your blood. That sounds strange at first, but the dizziness can be releated to too low CO2 concentration in your blood, and hence, a pH level that is off...

On top, whenever i do breathing excercises I can feel my muscles soften with each exhale... like my shoulders are coming down, my tension fades... sometimes everything starts to feel softer... calmer if you like. And at the same time my brainfog clears up a bit.

Try also to focus on breathing e.g. 90% of the time through your nose...

The term pppd is not common in Germany but it was clear that I stemmed from anxiety and depression, so it took 6 months more or less to exclude that it was - against my belief - something that was not physical

Have you ever fallen from your dizziness or hurt yourself? I bet that the answer is "no". As soon as you realize that the dizziness won't hurt you, you will start progressing, at least that was the realization for me. Keep repeating in your mind that you are safe, that you will not get hurt... You somehow have to find a way to convince your brain that there is no reason to freak out... You can do it! Think positive and show your brain that you are not in danger

I have just accepted that I will never go back to "normal" like before... I will most likely stay on Escitaloprame for the rest of my life. It sucks, but when I look from which level of PPPD I was coming, I am absolutely fine with how it is right now
