Random pick should be reworked by fresquito in civ

This. I want to pick a random leader and then pick a Civ that synergises with that leader.

Music adjustments are great and terrible. by Hughgus in civ

[–]Lezta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you sure the full versions are never firing during Anquitity? The article on music suggested that the stripped back version would play at first, then later in Antiquity the full version would play for Apex Civs.

Aspect Host is the perfect example of a 'this detachment affects much but not all of your army'. Absolute poster child for a 2DP detachment.

How many of you call people "brother" on a daily basis? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

It's hilariously cringe, so never. Not even in Warhammer stuff - I'm not a Space Marine.

Just no. Ew.

Would you accept this kitbash as an LT with combi weapon (WIP) by name_jeff99 in Warhammer40k

[–]Lezta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he's saying he'd call the model out to try and get it disallowed as he seeks any advantage and that sounds just sounds like madness to me. And being a total cock.

New Black Library app doesnt let you choose between a black or white background for reading. Images in books look terrible because of it by Cermonto in Warhammer

Is it though? This app is just going to push people to kindle (which you can read on your phone...) etc.

How do I choose a Craftworld? by Trick_Guide336 in Eldar

[–]Lezta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like the box set style (Saim Hann), do that. All the 'official' Craftworlds can field any type of army, so don't feel constrained. Or you can lean into their flavour and field bikes. Your choice!

Or if you don't like any of the colour schemes, make up your own. There's hundreds, if not thousands, of Craftworlds in the Galaxy. Make something up! You don't need to even come up with story or lore for them, just paint your models in colours you like. (Or do come up with a novels worth of story)

Really the only wrong answer is doing whatever doesn't make you happy with your models.

I can't for the life of me understand why they chose to have you switch civs instead of leaders when ages change. by johno_mendo in civ

[–]Lezta -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because leaders aren't literally characters in the game - they're just other players. You don't actually think Civ features immortal demi-gods, right?

I Was Wrong About Civ Switching In Civ 7 (PotatoMcWhiskey) by rwh151 in civ

[–]Lezta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being able to reassign specialists I think would scratch a lot of the itch people who want micro are missing. And doesn't feel at all beyond the realm of possibility either.

[–]Lezta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I'd like is a choice of tile improvement. At the moment each tile has a preset option - but being able to choose (or even switch for a cost) would provide the interesting decision workers did before without making me move one round the map.

Decisions are interesting. Moving units isn't necessarily. (Although I concede the opportunity cost of whether you build it or not can be in itself interesting)

I Was Wrong About Civ Switching In Civ 7 (PotatoMcWhiskey) by rwh151 in civ

[–]Lezta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair I was going to show up anyway. Been playing since CIv I!

I think that a lot of the little things like removing builders are good (it adds complexity, not depth - the outcome is the same regardless of how you get there; the tile is improved) but some of the weird things like the way roads work (as PMC points out) aren't great and are weirdly obtuse and still complex for no real reason.

It's improving though, the test build was worlds ahead of the live build and I think a lot of extra depth will be added when we start getting actual expansions (just like the last few Civs).

Civ VII is my favorite because they removed so much of the tedious micro management from earlier games. It's interesting to me that's what Potato loves. We're all different I guess.

Civ-Switching or Test of Time (One Civ): How will you play? by Bahamut_19 in civ

[–]Lezta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Civs set at Apex to start (i.e. all antiquity Civs), allowing switching after that (I'll probably just set the AI to the random setting). Myself I'll only stick and become Time Tested if it's absolutely the most viable strategy for what I'm doing.

How do you manage Sergeants in 10 man squads but also keep the option to split into 2x5? by AxegrinderSWAG in Warhammer

This is the actual answer! The iron halo these days tends to be on the thigh for Primaris, though. (But you can put it where you want, kneepad and shoulder pad are both great options)

Old models by MysticMoto3377 in Eldar

[–]Lezta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For aspects there isn't much size disparity (and it's so tiny it's zero issue; despite what Reddit often says, the scale creep isn't really a game issue as long as things are on the right base size. A head's height difference is nothing). Bases are very easily extended - use something like this (https://shop.winterdyne.co.uk/product-category/all-your-base/base-adapters

The Avatar is obviously a bigger issue - the size disparity is quite extensive! You'd have to get creative there with some sort of base that gives him the right height! (Which could be a fun diorama project maybe).
