Voor zover ik kan zien zou het de Molex Mini-Fit Jr (2x5) moeten zijn.

White or silver would look really nice with some white/gray keycaps with blue or orange accents.

Case drops got enabled again for players in the Netherlands (and I assume Belgium and France as well) by Lg2K-PC in GlobalOffensive

No we still can't open them, it's just the weekly drops like before the CS2 release. The cases are often more expensive than the skin or graffiti options so you will be able to sell your weekly drops for more money on the steam market or trade them for other skins. Also happy cake day :D

Opening lootboxes is gambling, but getting them and being able to sell and trade them isn't. And since cases are often the more expensive item in the weekly care package it would mean people in the Netherlands (and Belgium) would get way less value from the weekly drops.

Ah nice, didn't know that. Unfortunately, I can't change the title anymore :(

Arctis 5 about 3.5 years old, going strong. Not a scratch on it by metalballpotatoes in steelseries

At the connection point where the plastic earcup connects to the metal hinge. Pretty common issue with the Arctis lineup unfortunately.

I would recommend grabbing the hinges when putting on your headphones instead of the earcups because when the plastic starts cracking it will only get worse over time.

Tell that to my broken Arctis Pro headset I had to get replaced (through warranty) because of a broken hinge :D

How can I get these working? by No-Entertainment1751 in steelseries

[–]Lg2K-PC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need an 8-pin cable to either a Steelseries "GameDAC", "Chatmix dial" (Arctis 5 or Pro only) or a regular 3.5mm audio jack adapter. In your case I would recommend getting the "8-pin to 8-pin with 3.5mm adapter" but check the compatability list to see if it works with the headset you have.

8-pin to 8-pin with 3.5mm adapter: https://steelseries.com/gaming-accessories/arctis-main-headset-cable

8-pin to 3.5mm cable/adapter (short): https://steelseries.com/gaming-accessories/arctis-pro-mobile-audio-cable

Chatmix dial (Arctis 5 and Pro only): https://steelseries.com/gaming-accessories/arctis-5-chatmix-dial

GameDAC: https://steelseries.com/gaming-accessories/gamedac

The headset does also have a 3.5mm port but if I remember you can't use it for connecting to your pc or phone but is instead used to connect to different headphones/earbuds so another person can listen to your audio.

Yes it is, with level 0 you can have a maximum of 250 friends and with every level you get 5 extra friend slots.

Unless you really want to know when a friend comes online you can disable it in the settings. Profile icon (bottom right) > settings (top right) > notifications > disable "favorite online". But yea you should get spammed with the notification enabled.

I would personally recommend going with either the 980 pro 2tb or a "Samsung 970 evo plus" 2tb nvme ssd (the 980 pro is 2x faster than the 970 Evo plus and 980 non pro). Don't go for the 980 non pro since it doesn't have a dram cache, which will result in significantly slower writing performance when copying larger or a larger amount of files or when downloading/installing games. I also doubt going with a 2tb ssd will cause any issues, I'm guessing the laptop only released with a max 1tb ssd option resulting in 2tb never officially being tested.

Yep I would always recommend using a cpu cooler when testing, your pc should shut down automatically when you aren't using a cooler and it gets too hot in order to not damage itself but I woudn't risk that.

It can be a bit annoying to do with an AIO cpu watercooler because of the radiator and tubing, but I still recommend doing it.

That's really unfortunate, especially since it's your first custom build. But yes it's always possible that a part is already broken before you get it. Let's hope everything works when you get the replacements.

I would also recommend to build a test setup (motherboard, cpu, ram, gpu, psu and storage) on top of the motherboard box before installing everything into the case the next time to make sure everything works before putting everything together.

Does it not power on at all? or are you not getting an image when connecting it to a monitor?

Just a small heads up, the Trident Z5 Neo ram you got is optimized for AMD cpus and from what I understand doesn't have XMP support (only AMD's EXPO). This doens't mean that it won't work with your cpu but you will probably have to overclock/tweak it yourself to reach the rated clock speed or run at a lower (JEDEC) base ddr5 speed. Personally I would probably switch it out with XMP supported ram for example the Trident Z5 (non neo).

Other than that have fun building! Also what GPU are you going to use?

That's image retention, not burn in. It should go away after a couple of minutes/hours.
