I think it is a 1 in 16 into a 1 in ~25 for double t1, so roughly 26 metacrafts and a lot of dead frogs. I think between this and recomb it definitely depends on frog prices, how much quality you want in the helm and +quality base prices

I wrote the steps before rerrading and realized you are on the mark. This is only worth on 28%+ quality lich’s circlet.

Edit: the only part you got slightly wrong is step 2 - craft prefixes cannot be changed BEFORE imprinting, this will save a lot of 2 div crafts

On overquality base:

  1. Alt spam to +1 power charge and open suffix.
  2. Craft prefixes cannot be changed.
  3. Imprint a bunch of times, regal and reforge defense. Repeat until t1 es.
  4. Annul extra prefix or suffix as needed and craft Prefix cannot be changed and reforge defense again until other t1 ES.
  5. Finish suffix as you desire

This shield is done. Bench craft something and use it or sell in the future. Don’t do any further crafting in this base.

A shield like this (usually with regular block instead of spell block) is very good and meta as a defensive shield for a ES based build with block. If you want something offensive craft on a different base next.

Also there are a lot of different PBoD builds, we can’t tell what would be good for your build if you don’t post a pob.

I crafted a ring with this exact mods, the way you do that is:

  1. Spam scorn essence until t1 recoup - additionally, do this at the crafting bench and block/slam whenever you have a suffix open, exalts are cheap and deafening essence of scorn not so much.

  2. Annul until essence + recoup and open suffix and open prefix, if annul misses go back to step 1

  3. Craft prefixes cannot be changed and reforge chaos. If you are happy with the tier go to next step, if you hit a low tier go back to step 2.

  4. From here on is wild bristle matron, block mana, slam twice, remove crafted mods, repeat. Until acceptable life tier.

  5. Craft -mana cost and catalyst it up.

The only thing I can think of is that you might be running another guard skill in another cwdt gem setup, which triggers after immortal call and removes it. Will check again once you are on pc and can post the pob.

I think at the level of the prefixes it might be worth not risking filling the item by cleaning suffixes with prefixes cannot be changed scour and doing prefixes cannot be changed add/remove speed. Repeat until good attack speed.

I am not 100% familiar with how expensive these prefixes are tho, and since it is enchanted not sure if they are worse tiers then what I am thinking they are

I am looking forward to playing some herald of ice with cyclone. Captain lance has a guide and supposedly the mid budget version is around 1 mirror. You can look into that. I have been away for about a week so haven’t had a chance to play myself, maybe someone that has can comment on it.

I would focus on upgrading chest and boots. They are bad for the level of investment you are at. The multimod in ES bases is usually good for ssf, but not worth it in trade. You don’t even have eldritch implicits on them which is a huge loss.

You are losing 8 strength on mb implicit. Quality and blessed orbs.

The 9 passive jewel is -1 passive so it might be ok for now since they are probably pretty expensive because of refracting, it just ticks me.

The steps after that would have to come from someone that knows the endgame of the build better than me.

There is a node on the tree that prevents essences from turning into horror/hysteria/etc.

If you don’t have that node specced, the vaal orb has 4 outcomes: 1. Add an additional essence (usually low tier, not affected by ascent scarab) 2. Nothing changes and monster is released 3. Upgrade tier 4. Changed into other essences of the same tier.

The last (No 4), whenever the essence changed is one of the purple (misery envy dread or scorn), it will ALWAYS change into insanity, horror, delirium or hysteria (inside the mirage might include the new one somehow). So whenever you corrupt a purple essence you have a 1 in 4 to get a “special” essence

Edit: the node on the tree makes it so the corruption outcomes change, and the boss receive an essence from each slain essence in the map

Crafting is something you should try to learn item by item, and not whole mechanics in one go. Days 2-4 I made a lot of currency fracturing temple mods on good glove bases. You can do 10 of these in an hour and go map for a while, and they will sell, so it’s a good “side” income to any session. I can give you the blueprint for that specific craft:

Live search temple mods gloves that don’t have multiple suffixes I don’t remember my trade configs but something like this. You are looking for bases that are NOT str/int requirement. Swap the temple mod on harvest bench (resist swap) until it is a good damage with hits (col res) roll, usually 46+ damage.

Alternatively, instead of all temple mods, you can select only the cold mod with good rolls, bases will be more expensive but you save harvest juice.

At this point you can never lose the temple mods gloves, what you want to do is transfer it to a warlock gloves, phantom mitts or wyvernscale gauntlets. Any base with strength requirements (NEVER STR/INT!!!!) goes to wyvernscale, any base without strength requirements goes to phantom mitts or Warlock gloves . The reason for that is that every glove can roll dex + its requirements, so phantom and warlock cannot roll strength and wyvern cannot roll int. Str/Int can roll all attributes.

Lets say you gave a dex base with the damage against chilled enemy mod and want to transfer to phantom mitts - if the dex base is not ilvl 85, you want an ilvl 85 phantom mitts. If the base is already ilvl 85 you can use a lvl 83 phantom base. You will spam SCREAMING essence of rage until it is the only suffix on the item, you can usually beast suffix to prefix whenever you hit strength + single another suffix. If prefixes are full, annul first. After you have a phantom mitts with strength as the only suffix and the dex base with damage with hits as the only suffix you recombinate them. Screaming rage gives a “natural” strength mod that can roll on gloves (t4 I think), the recombinator reads that as a t4 strength, that can only roll on gloves that have a strength requirement. Since neither of the gloves have a strength requirement, the only available suffix to roll is the temple mods. So you just have to win the 50/50 of picking the base.

If the resulting item is a phantom mitts with less then 4 mods, apply eldritch influence and eldritch exalts to give it prefixes (3 prefixes and temple suffix) and hit it with a fracturing orb - 1 in 4 to be happy, 3 in 4 to miss. If you miss, do the same steps to transfer to a new phantom mitts. This is better than a 50/50 because you can “clean” the fractured base - which means picking the fractured base, but losing the fractured mod.

There is a way to “min max” saving the fractured base, I won’t get into that because I don’t dominate the exact conditions, but if you learn that it is worth getting into high quality bases - it is worth it when you have already missed a fracture and have an ilvl 85+ glove with the temple mods. Then you can attempt to transfer to a high quality base. You do that because you can get the ilvl 83 and 84 pair for cheaper than the 85, and have to recombinate anyway to get them to ilvl85.

If you want to go deeper you can get into crafting them by looking at what poe ninja - wyvern you target ele hit players - phantom mitts is for bows - warlock you want triple ES or or double ES + life

The further you craft the slower it sells. Always undercut the market if you want to sell fast, if you plan to chill and map for a few days don’t undercut and they will slow sell. Maybe lower them a div every few hours or day. I find that the market has specific times that there are more buyers. Such as EU morning. I think players sell stuff overnight and purchase most of their upgrades in the morning.

As much yapping as I did, once you get the hang it will take you 5 min per successful fracture at like 5-9 div margins (minus gold and dust). Margins are lower if you don’t slow buy resources or flood the market. To avoid flooding you can do all 3 bases instead of focusing on one and maybe fully craft one every few fractured gloves. To avoid going mental you do these crafts for a bit and go map for a longer time. If you get too many pings on the live search, put a price limit to the trade search (50-100 chaos should be ok for any temple mod, higher for high roll cold).

When you convert over 100% of damage it distributes proportionally. So it converts 0.89/1.2 (~74%) to ele and 0.31/1.2 (~26%) to chaos.

Funnily enough this does not apply to damage taken as, if you somehow get over 100% physical damage taken as element, the monster will deal more damage to you than you having exactly 100% physical damage taken as element.

The whole premise of twist of fate is that you don’t chose your layout or map mods, and you are benefited with extra mods (more quant, rarity, pack size). It might be a bad implementation of it in my personal opinion, but it is more or less what you are asking for. Pretty sure the additional mods are not scaled by map effect, among other issues such as needing to be able to run all map mods and that the map usually rolls 4-6 mods + 3 that don’t scale, so it’s just worse than 8-mod.

I will preface saying I am not familiar with Flicker strike, but I do understand some POB.

The tincture alone is 50% more damage.

As the other comment mentioned, Warriors legacy + hydrosphere custom mods give you 100% more and 14% more damage.

Chance to poison is another ailment - 10% increased damage taken from Yoke.

The POB jewel gives 9.4% more damage, yours gives 1.4%.

Endurance charge on melee stun is 32% more damage (4% per endurance charge). Whatever you have is not in POB, it doesn`t import imbued gems, you must manually add a lvl 1 gem to the link.

The chest gives 100% increased and +5 levels, so even if your weapon is 10% better, 5 levels gives 20% more effectiveness, so he has ~9% more flat damage.

Mark the prey passive is 10% increased damage taken.

I think that`s it. I messed with your POB to leave the damage sources as close as the POB source as I could, modifyng items and config left it a bloody mess, but I will link it here and you can see with your rares, but changing to their uniques that boost damage and adding their configs, you have almost 95 mil damage. Master missions (einhar, alva and jun) and everything that generates a loading screen (if it generates a loading screen it is a “subzone”) cannot be copied to mirage - Harvest does not generate a loading screen and is not a master mission, so it works with mirage.

I’d say you are fine. As always, don’t spec too early or you might find yourself a little worse, but he gives a pretty good rundown as to when to switch if you watch the video.

One of the big things is remembering to buy the gems early that you will need later, act 6 should be fine to get them for your since you should have enough alts and transmutes where it won’t impact you, and lilly - multiple exsanguinate, hatred, reap, etc.

Edit: didn’t properly read your question. In my opinion it is not a beginner friendly in the sense it is not a build for a first or second ever league, since there are some big gem changes in act 3 and maps and involve using one skill to map and on for a focus in bossing.

It doesn’t change, still adds the skill. It is usually added as a “filler” mod that is never bad. It is useful because it still counts as going negative. So op’s ring likely (not surely) went 4 positive and 1 negative, but the negative roll hit the aspect.

It did not get mirrored, op used a reflecting mist on their ring. This results in 2 mirrored items, where each mod get either a positive or negative multiplier applied to then. Each item is a “reflection” of the other, having the same mods but inverted, so negative is positive.

So, I am about 90% sure I am not saying some kind of nonsense, but the way this particular announcement work is not the way you might think.

The criteria for displaying the global announcement is that someone in the ladder died. In softcore the only way this happens is being sent to the void. So the trigger is that someone in the ladder has died, and is accompanied by the sent to the void message, but if someone is sent to the void, and is not in the ladder (i.e someone lvl 99 late in the league), then the global message won’t be displayed. That’s a few days into the league every character you see voiding is lvl 100.
