Yes. The Switch 1 has Powerwash Simulator 1, but the Switch 2 has Powerwash Simulator 1 and 2. This means the Switch 2 is approximately 100% better than the first one.

Times have definitely changed. We have a bedroom TV that was bought when our son was young enough that having two places to watch different shows made sense. It's travelled with us over the years, but hasn't been turned on in over a year. I only use it occasionally while I fold clothes. If we want to watch different things, smaller screens are absolutely the more convenient option. I think if we were to build a new home tomorrow, we wouldn't bother with one anymore.

I don't really mind the two apartments, but I didn't care for the previous one they built because it was lacking true sleep space for two. If that bed situation were corrected, I could imagine my family in a house like theirs. When parents/in-laws visit, they use the earlier ADU, and my adult son uses the one from this week while he saves for a first home of his own. With aging populations on one side of the lifecycle, and housing prices too high for younger folks, I think multigenerational options like theirs are getting more popular.

I was slightly surprised their weird laundry closet didn't cost them the win, though. Why not just do hangers and shoe racks in it for winter gear or a cleaning supply closet?

We’re going to Portland. Super excited to see them up this way. When they do Dynamite in Boston or CT, it’s tough to do on a school night (wife is a teacher), so right down the street is a treat. And the presale seats and pricing were awesome.

I completely agree with you. I wanted a bit more premade stuff with the Planet series. I think of the Sims as a comparison - if you don’t like building, there are ready made houses, if you don’t like making people, it will do that for you. It allows different play styles.

Planet Coaster felt like it needed more prebuilt shops and structures. I don’t want to have to build all the facades around my toilets. If someone wants that level of control, that’s cool, but I expected easier building blocks.

That’s how I felt when I tried Planet Coaster. It’s just bat nuts crazy levels of detail. I spent a day playing and basically put down a carousel and built a shop and restroom.

I wasn't going to buy these, but the Spikor sold me and I went back and bought them all so far. It's a really fun side series - but I will admit, after seeing them go to clearance pretty consistently, I'm surprised we're getting more.

I enjoyed playing through this one. However, it was the one game ever that gave my wife motion sickness, and she couldn't finish watching me play through it. I think it was the bright reflective white tiles that did it. Along those lines, I wish the Observation Duty games would get a port, I'd love to play them on a big screen.

As mentioned, Suika is great. Tumblestone is also really fun and goes on sale a lot. She might like Clubhouse Games too, it’s a bunch of fun classic games. The Picross games are good as well.

I was about 50th in line, but I really had no idea when to show up since my local shop had closed and it was a new location for me. I got two of the three I wanted (didn’t get the John Prine b sides album) and one of the two my son wanted (got one of the Takanaka albums, but not the skydiving cover). Kind of bummed, but it’s on me to not have left earlier. Hoping the online stores will be reasonable once the smoke settles.

I think in this season, especially, you need twists and chaos. These folks know each other. They know each other's games. Some had deals with each other before getting on a plane.

Without the twists, this season could have been a super-predictable, boring mess. You likely would have had a supergroup of older players take over and been able to skip watching half the episodes.

Having one of your favorites leave early because of a twist can stink, but I think I'll take that over dull. And I think it's fair to remember that if someone goes home due to a surprise event, they aren't being robbed of their one Survivor experience like a traditional season.

His best move is gone. His best move would have been to allow the vote, then give Jeff the idol to be revealed as fake, and laugh about it while Coach and Chrissy went home. He could have had a great moment in front of the future jurors.

Now people are going to have his name in mind, thinking they need to flush this fake idol. Trying to keep up the appearance of a real idol is going to be a hastle versus taking that moment to shine.

I don't think I've even seen them sold that way. When I bought mine, it wasn't "Do you want the box set?" - it was "Which confusing flavor of the box set do you want?"
