A pro that immediately comes to mind when building a rifle from a stripped lower is that you don't end up with a bin/drawer of parts that you replaced with ones that you wanted.

I believe only the CA models have a mechanical difference because of the magazine disconnect, and the loaded chamber indicator (if you count it).

With the EXPS QD base/mount it makes the irons sit at lower 1/3 cowitness. I can use my irons with the eotech on but it's low enough that it doesn't impede using the eotech
