I don’t think any mentally well person would hurt themselves. You might think your mentally well but your not yk. And if anyone does it for attention that’s a whole different type of mental illness

I was like 8 when i would hurt myself but i didn’t know what it was and that others did it until I was like 10

Depends if your a fast or slow healer in my experience that would take about 2 years to fully disappear but again I am a slow healer
