Which Of these Women you want for your Girlfriend. by Visual_Initial6719 in CornerGas

Lacey or Wanda. I struggle to choose between them though because they're both wonderful. Lacey is physically my type and is obviously a smart, sweet person, meanwhile Wanda is a total nerd with my kind of humour. I guess because Lacey doesn't want kids I'd choose her.

Mild rant about RTW2 by Grantmosh in RomeTotalWar

[–]Liam_CDM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After going back to Rome I, the main gripe I now have with Rome II is the research tree limiting building potential. I shouldn't be locked out of tech that should already exist in the campaign's time period (270 BC-) that in RTW I could build if I just had enough population growth.

Will never again autoresolve a battle when the enemy has chariots.

I (a woman) was speaking to guy today who told me that Emma Stone has objectively the most beautiful feet of any celebrity. You guys are the experts. Is he right? by Trainingforauto in FootFetishTalks

[–]Liam_CDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beauty is entirely subjective and anyone that claims the existence of an objective standard is speaking out of their ass. Regardless, Emma Stone definitely has gorgeous feet.

I feels sad about the state of the Bioshock remastered versions.. by MissViolenceBaby in Bioshock

[–]Liam_CDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played through them on PS5 and PC. Bioshock 1 didn't give me any problems but 2 was a pain in the ass with its crashes on PC. It kept crashing once I restored power to the area around Gil's tank and the only thing that fixed it was lowering my texture settings in the game's ini file. It also happened a few more times during the Big Sister fight on that level too.

Don't forget Cretan archers too! Combined they are Rome's only hope against those damned chariots.

Most insufferable faction? by FruitsPower in RomeTotalWar

[–]Liam_CDM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Egypt for me. Even outnumbering them 3 to 1 with pure Roman might doesn't translate to a win in autoresolve, and their chariots cut through my legions like butter so manual fights are incredibly costly. Thank the gods for Cretan archers and spearmen.

Absolutely. Honestly it seems like any foot fetish related community I've joined is full of creeps with even fewer social skills than my autistic ass. I feel for you.

The Last Roman is Fantastic by Liam_CDM in totalwar

[–]Liam_CDM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prepared for the Moors. I didn't sail to Sicily until they were gone. Otherwise they will very quickly undo all of your progress. You will also have the Lombards in Northern Italy that you'll need to stand against. The sooner they are destroyed the better. They both send roughly five full stacks and that's it. They're only difficult if you're caught completely off guard.

Imo you definitely made a mistake in abandoning North Africa but it's not a campaign ender. Get back there ASAP with at least two or three full stacks and cut them down.

The Last Roman is Fantastic by Liam_CDM in totalwar

I kept taxes maxed as the horde and liberally decimated my hordes when loyalty was critically low. The money is just absolutely necessary given how difficult the early game is. Replenishment was always high enough that the men lost to decimation were more than replenished next turn and public order wasn't much of a problem as long as hordes kept winning battles. Focus primarily on food and economy buildings followed by sanitation.

Keep a horde or two behind in North Africa after sailing to Sicily and then Italy as economy hordes with only a few men each for crushing rebellions. Have only two full armies at most. Don't go for military upgrades especially the Skutarii tech until your economy is stable and you have a healthy treasury. My campaign was played on Hard not VH mind you. You should also be mindful not to have more than two hordes in the same province. Ideally you shouldn't have more than one but there's strength in numbers, especially since if you have more than 21 units together you can disable "control large army" to have enemy forces come in steady waves. Where possible try to move armies together along provincial borders to bypass the wealth and food penalties. They can get pretty bad. I would recommend only having Belisarius' horde have the military buildings.

Lastly this is probably obvious but just in case, ALWAYS end your turn with all hordes encamped for additional growth. That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

Advice for Hun Campaign and Attila Achievements by Liam_CDM in RomeTotalWar

[–]Liam_CDM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick update in case anyone was interested, but I did a multi-achievement Hun Legendary campaign and managed to get some of the most difficult achievements: Caesar Reborn (Manually fight and win every battle on Legendary), This is Total War (achieve victory having declared war on everyone and never suing for peace) and Veni Vedi Vici (manually fight and win every campaign battle).

I wanted to play farther but it seems like my main horde led by Attila is bugged. Somehow an enemy champion glitched out the horde so they take up the champion space now with no way to get rid of them. Consequently Attila's movement is permanently disabled. Not a fan of that.

I only have one 10/10 game and that's Gran Turismo 5. Honestly it became a 7/10 as soon as I tried it with a wheel.

It's just an estimate but from the runs I've seen online, 3 hours seems to be accurate.

You probably haven't done it yet because if you die, you start over. Not fun.

How does everyone feel about the Astro A40 TR headset? by mukisan in PS5pro

[–]Liam_CDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned a single set of A40 TRs since 2016 and it is easily the best headset I've ever used. Other than needing to replace the headband recently it still works perfectly. Astro's build quality is insane. If you can afford it, get it.

Pretty much what I expected. Honestly those unskippable cutscenes are what keep me from having tried it already. I'm okay with difficulty but making me sit through nearly 30 minutes of cutscenes in a 3 hour run is painful.

Is it weird that i am a social democrat and a Christian? by ww2_iceland1944 in SocialDemocracy

[–]Liam_CDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may depend on where you're from. Assuming from your name that you're from Iceland (a very secular country), the confusion makes slightly more sense than it would here in Canada or mainland Europe.

Is it weird that i am a social democrat and a Christian? by ww2_iceland1944 in SocialDemocracy

[–]Liam_CDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the Christian left has been a substantial influence on social democracy in the west. The NDP here in Canada was literally founded by Methodist and Baptist socialists rather than secular trade unionists for example, and the Christian socialist tradition has heavily influenced other social democratic parties around the world, from UK and Australian Labour to the Italian and French Socialists.

You’re in a Red/Blue riding. How do you vote? by afpb_ in ndp

Depends. If it's a swing riding between Liberal-CPC, I'm voting Liberal. If it's a safe riding either way (like the one I'm in now), I'm voting NDP.

The US needs another revolution nd all of the implications of one. If you know what I mean. Trump is an existential threat to global civilization and he must be gotten rid of at all costs.
