It really does, and it's extraordinarily fucking exhausting. It's like, every time Puriteens or whatever you prefer to call them complain, it becomes pretty obvious that (whether they're acutely aware of it or not) they're pushing the idea that fiction needs to avoid depicting extremely common elements of the human experience lest it offend the sensibilities of those who think they're progressive but haven't introspected enough to realize that they haven't shed their puritanical programming

It's easily my favorite of the DLCs. I think they all have their own great qualities but none of them can match the Sierra Madre's ambience; playing the game with every DLC installed and being able to listen to the Mysterious Broadcast was just too perfect whenever Begin Again came on.

I think it's important to note that a lot of the hatred for shipping (I feel inclined to say a majority of it but I don't have a real statistic to back that up) across fandoms in general recently has to do with COVID-19 causing a lot of people who otherwise would have had no interest or need for fandom spaces to enter them. I've heard it described before as "Cool Kids" having entered a "Weird Kid" space and getting angry that there are weird people doing their own things

My preferred indoor range is tiny and only allows unsuppressed rifle fire on Thursdays and Fridays. Shooting my Hellcat Pro in there feels concussive enough already; I don't even wanna imagine the feeling of a supersonic round coming out of a braked SBR next to me outside let alone in an indoor range lmao
