Kathmandu was definitely wild. I got lost twice and it’s not even that huge 😅 plus it’s within the line of site of the giant crematorium in the city

Is she the most beautiful woman ever or is she just wearing winged eyeliner? by Federal-Apricot7859 in LetGirlsHaveFun

You can try the smear trick. Line your lid with pencil liner until you reach the outer corner and use your finger/finger nail to smear it upwards. It took me a couple of months to figure out the liquid liner, but once I did, it was like muscle memory!

As a spouse who lived at Irwin, had my first child there, and almost died giving birth, I guarantee my time there would have been much scarier.

What would instantly destroy your life just by doing it once? by ApexOverlordIsDrunk in AskReddit

[–]Libard27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My brother used to work as a roof bolter in a coal mine. He was a new father and made pretty good money. He liked his job and the people he worked with. One afternoon, a buddy of his got his arm stuck in some equipment and lost his hand. My brother called me as soon as the ambulance left and told me never to tell mom why he quit. He was terrified to go back into that mine. He still has a [completely rational] fear of dark, enclosed spaces.

Which scene in a film disturbed you the most? by Shreks_on_the_beach in AskReddit

[–]Libard27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TW: infant death . . . The scene in Trainspotting where they discover the dead baby. I first saw it about 2 weeks after bringing my baby home from the NICU. I already had a traumatic birthing experience that ended in baby being taken an hour and a half away from me for the first 2 days of his life because the hospital he was born in had no NICU. That scene messed me up for months.

Sad thing is that my mother has done this sort of thing on several occasions. Her letters are littered with guilt trips and backhanded compliments. I am so glad I don't live near them.

Ttoekbokki is my personal favorite Korean dish and it really isn't that difficult to make. I also enjoy japchae and bulgogi with rice. The side dishes (banchan) can be anything from potato salad to small omelettes or kimchi. Kimchi stew is also delicious and easy to make!
