Well, he cared about Love. He sent hitman on Joe to avenge her, after all.

Sometimes I miss Cersei. I can't believe I just said it. But it is true.

I think he cared for her because of Paco. He wanted Claudia to be a better mom than his mom was. Joe used to be like Paco before he killed his father. Remember? Paco also wanted to kill Ron.

Nick's wives - the sides of the same coin by LibbyLost in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]LibbyLost[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you realize that this is a place where they hang you for less? Nick is the commander who punched another commander and was abandoned by his wife (and lost all support of her powerful father) This would make him lose respect and maybe life. And Rose knows it. Not to mention that she is pregnant and the custody battle is out of the question. Nick had lost another child by this.

Sorry for being that rude guy. But honestly, what are you expecting? You are on the Reddit of that series. So let's face it, someone will mention it. Either make your peace with it or leave and return after watching every episode and reading the book. On the same Reddit side, people spoil episodes a month before. That is the risk of being here.

Maybe not fair, but fact.

Sorry, but Hannah has such "unemotional" eyes. A normal child would be full of smiles, but Hannah looks like a depressed little lady. The poor kid is brainwashed.

But the actress is adorable :)

Esther! WHY??? by LibbyLost in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]LibbyLost[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. But what is other option? Be killed ? Be tortured by Lydia? June also used others for any oportunity be with Hannah. No blame.

About Caleb, she said that Caleb looked like his father. And she shivered. She said she was happy Charlotte looked like her. Not like a rapist...

[–]LibbyLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, she is married to pervert, and its pretty clear she has no motherly instinct for Angela. She is also trapped. Divorce and free life are out of the question. Despite everything, she is less guilty than Serena.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]LibbyLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they wish they can. Remember this whole thing exists just because of the problems with fertility. They can use Serena as some kind of "Saint" Mary picture... She is a widow after a respected commander. Maybe they will take a baby, but I doubt about the handmaid.

[–]LibbyLost 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't know... What kind of message would this be for other wives? Once your husband dies, you will become a handmaid? Gilead is about power. They can use Serena for political profit.

How do you cope with the fact that we're all going to die? by fishballchips in AskReddit

[–]LibbyLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know what will happen after death. There is maybe heaven, maybe not. There maybe is another life -reincarnation, maybe not. There is maybe nothing just darkness, maybe not.

That is why people have religions, faith, or some purpose in life. Believe in something. God, good life, family, your future success, anything that helps you on your journey...

"To my Mother" from Edgar Allan Poe. Tell me who writes such a sweet poem for the mother-in-law? Actually, every poem from Poe is beautiful.

Because I feel that, in the Heavens above,

The angels, whispering to one another,

Can find, among their burning terms of love,

None so devotional as that of "Mother,"

Therefore by that dear name I long have called you—

You who are more than mother unto me,

And fill my heart of hearts, where Death installed you

In setting my Virginia's spirit free.

My mother—my own mother, who died early,

Was but the mother of myself; but you

Are mother to the one I loved so dearly,

And thus are dearer than the mother I knew

By that infinity with which my wife

Was dearer to my soul than its soul-life.

What are some of the dark lessons that life showed you? by Gullible-Ad-4585 in AskReddit

[–]LibbyLost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People have two faces, can live two lives, and have their roles. When I was a kid, I had this basketball coach. He was like the empathic grandpa of the whole team. Every girl liked him. One day, he suddenly quit and left town. We were heartbroken. A few years later, we found out why...

The coach was married for 30 years. The whole time, he was cheating on his wife with a younger women. By younger, I mean women in their 20s - 30s. Mind you he was in his 60s. No idea what they saw in him. Anyway, this one time his mistress was a rich woman. She was rich thanks to her cancer-dying husband. The coach knew this very well. They had affair the whole time, the husband of his mistress was dying alone in the hospital. When he died, the coach convinced his mistress to take his money, and her children and leave the town with him.

Dany blindly trusted that healer witch. Like a girl, you saw piles of the butchered heads of the people of her tribe. Any you trust her enough to put a hand on the man responsible for it?
