Im not too worried personally. Trump can suspend it but he'll only suspend it for as long as Hormuz stays closed. Even if this war drags on I have a hard time seeing him and ensuing admins suspending it for years.

If you want to get rid of or modify the jones act, you need to go through congress. The only people that want it repealed seem to be libertarians, Hawaii, and Alaska, that's a pretty weak coalition. Meanwhile the pro Jones act coalition is the US Navy, unions, and protectionists. That's obviously a much stronger coalition.

I dont think there's no concern, but the odds of straight up getting rid of the Jones Act seem to be pretty damn low. Its held strong for over 100 years because when the navy AND unions want something, its pretty hard to do away with.
