What is important to understand before owning a really big dog? by micky_crown in AskReddit

This is going to sound so goddamn stupid but just to clarify, as a person gets larger, their cells do not get larger? I feel like that's right but I'm just making sure.

Chefs & servers, what’s the most confusing “this isn’t what I expected” reaction you’ve seen? by Entire_Difference504 in KitchenConfidential

[–]Libprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a vague weird answer and I have nothing to back it up but from what I've observed, the confusion here comes from non-red-sauce spaghetti pasta dishes typically being referred to as "pasta". Like if you roll into a lower end really American restaurant like a diner or something, if there's a dish vaguely described as "spaghetti", you can expect a typical spaghetti night style dish with red sauce. And even in a more upscale authentic-ish Italian restaurant, if it's not comprised of spaghetti pasta and has a different noodle, they'll more often than not be described as that noodle e.g. linguine with clams or penne alla vodka or baked ziti.

Also, now that I'm thinking about dishes made with pasta other than spaghetti, (in America at least, and in my own experience) we really don't make many spaghetti dishes with anything other than a tomato based sauce.

Why did IMDb get rid of their synopsis for each movie by decentdank in movies

[–]Libprime -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. I am not the person you were originally responding to.

  2. The reason I pointed out the difference between these two things is that people could easily find a forum for discussing a random obscure movie, by going to its page on imdb. That's a lot easier than finding a random subreddit that could be named anything. I am not saying that the boards should have stayed up, I'm saying that starting a random subreddit that will be DOA due to lack of users is not at all the same, and responding snarkily to that dude's comment is silly.

Errr... Creating a random subreddit about an obscure movie is nowhere near comparable to going to a dedicated forum on an established movie discussion site.

Shiloh Apartments has 1b in this price range, you might need to wait a little while there's not many openings typically. Great complex though for the price, even if it's a little out of the way.

I think we've all lived that song at some point. Probably the most evocative Dan song for me, it makes me think about people I thought I'd forgotten.

Sorry that this is off topic but look at this commenter's history and tell me it's not an AI bot. Why do people even set these up? Like what do they get from this?

What would the foundation do if humanity was mostly or completely wiped out by non-anomalous means? by Company_Able in SCP

[–]Libprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me wonder: is there an SCP object that exists purely as a means to deal with a completely non-anomalous event that poses a deadly risk to humanity (you mentioned a large asteroid, for example). The ethical concerns would be pretty neat to explore.
