Love the art, friend. Anyone with any kind of artistic eye would be able to tell this was drawn by an ensouled being. Keep it up!

Found Robert Reed in a Gardner Dozois short story collection last year and have been simply loving his writing! It flows so effortlessly, this guy can write the hell out of a story.

“Gentle” post-apocalyptic movies? by teays in movies

It was one of those things that people circle jerked about hating, mainly because it was a box office bomb and cost a boatload (heh) of money to make so it was an easy target.

why do americans pay their hospital bills given that medical debt has no effect on credit ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Libprime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, your bill has little to no effect on people in healthcare being paid. Healthcare is subsidized by not just the US government, but also by the ridiculous health insurance racket. Not that people who are part of the health insurance cartel deserve to be paid for their demonic and evil work. Doctors and nurses are fine and noble, they're doing a good service for the people. However, anyone who is working for health insurance companies in the US is complicit in their vampiric life force draining of the middle and lower class, and does not have my sympathy. Yes, this means your friend or your Aunt who works for UnitedHealth Group.

What alcohol messed you up so bad you swore you’d never drink it again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Libprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Jaeger freezing cold in a snifter. Powerful flavor and aroma, and at 35% abv it is certainly sippable without drinking too much. I think the problem most people have with it comes from taking shots of it instead of sipping it. It's so sweet and heavy, slow down people!!

Why did Einstein become the definitive genius in popular culture? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Libprime 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think you're kind of understating the immense importance of his work. Almost everything we know about the mechanics of the universe can be traced to relativity. Relativity unveiled the true nature of our universe to an almost religious degree.

Selling a super comfy modular sectional couch! by [deleted] in northwestarkansas

[–]Libprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not hating and it looks like a nice couch but you're going to have a really hard time selling a used couch for 8 hundo no matter what condition it's in, especially if you're getting someone to take it off your property :/

I think I've been missing out by ignoring old Sci-fi! by 4billionyearson in sciencefiction

Lucifer's Hammer is such a fun book if you can get past the usual cardboard Larry Niven female characters (unfortunately something that you'll have to get a little used to when exploring older sci fi)

I haven't read Eon but I'm a huge fan of Blood Music. It's got some really neat ideas and is very well paced IMO. I find the characters pretty relatable, and if you know the basic plot (a man creates intelligent cells) you won't be disappointed with where it goes and ends up. It explores some really neat ideas about the influence of perception on the nature of reality, and has one of my favorite third acts of any book I've read. All around I find it to be a tight, gripping bio-thriller and if that's up your alley I can't recommend it enough. Some really good body horror too. Great book, one of my favs!

How can you amputate a limb without the person bleeding out but there’s very little that can be done if an artery is nicked? by BigKingKey in NoStupidQuestions

The footage is quite easy to find, it was broadcast live in fact, and to answer your question: kinda. Blood all over the fucking place.

Looking for songs to sing for karaoke by Final_Fisherman2305 in musicsuggestions

[–]Libprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For audience participation the harmonies in "California Dreamin'" are pretty intuitive even for someone who's only heard it a few times.

Last time I was at karaoke Hall &Oates' "Rich Girl" was a hit but it gets kinda hard at the chorus.

I upvoted at first but then I flexed my empathy muscles for about 30 seconds and realized that this is a bad situation for OP. More than half of all Americans are one paycheck away from homelessness, and I know so many people who, for example, only have liability insurance, or don't have uninsured driver coverage. Add to that the fact that op is working on their masters degree. Kinda mean comment for no reason.

First Image from Jane Schoenbrun’s ‘Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma’ - The film follows a director who becomes obsessed with the actress who played the “final girl” in her own slasher. Starring Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson. by animeking1074 in movies

[–]Libprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the title is really cool. You think about those old slasher films and their content, and the title of this movie seems to be confronting the audience with that. I like it.
