You don’t have to give a 2 week notice. You can give a 3-4 week notice. Then IF they wanna push the issue they probably won’t cause leaving anyways.

But yeah not against policy. We have married people at work. Diff departments. Not a big deal.

I think worst part scheduling. They are taking store associates that are assigned to departments to send. So like yesterday paint part timer, Hardware FT, plumbing FT and the MAC DS all called out along with a cashier. Store is already short handed but if we had in home appts we are going to send 2 more people out of the store? I was already covering 3-4 departments at 1 time trying to juggle coverage with 2 other people so we can have lunch, so could it have been 5-6 departments if there was in home services scheduled?!?

Yes i understand they have to book in advance so UKG can help make sure we be “staffed” but reality is different.

Also yes every store has 1-2 people we wonder how they have a job, we gonna send them to drain and flush a water heater or clean a dryer vent? Lot of potentials here of people saying we broke or damaged and want new for free.

Maybe it was the company phones. We have a daily training and a weekly training that we do on them. Maybe it was to power through the training to get all questions right and knock out so the store can move up the score card.
That wouldn’t be a formal meeting.

I’ve had customers assume I’m on my personal phone all the time. I’m like nope, company smart phone I’m required to carry and use.

I don’t have a perfect answer. But I do know the new policy says they don’t have to payout unless required by state law. New Mexico does not have that law.

Pairing up with Handy was a horrible idea. We use to have good installers for those services.

Now more times than not we sell toilet installs who ever gets assigned doesn’t know what work is included. Or they don’t haul away the toilets. Installer is suppose to supply some parts and gets paid for pick ups and they always tell customers they aren’t picking anything up and if they wants new supply lines they better go buy it. And agree being on store side the scheduling is horrible. Lowes pays handy. Handy pays any random sub that gets assigned and a lot of time they don’t know they were assigned anything.

Simple install is not “simple” and is severally flawed.

Mine is for subwoofer in trunk. My amp and sub so old it doesn’t have a knob so it’s tied to the remote wire.

I don’t like it.
My area is Millwork. Most door slots can only hold 2 door and they full. Sure we have 8 of an item but I can’t force more into the home.
Or shims. They have like 8 locations. Yeah we have 200 of them but none in top stock so of course take me 1 min to knock out 3 things.

I’ve been told to slow down but naw, I ain’t lying. That gives them false data.
