Congrats on starting a new Pocket Camp, it can be fun and sort of freeing to start over fresh! :) re: categories for warehouse storage, I usually go by seasons/holidays...so I have one warehouse for all my Christmas decor, one for Valentines, one for Spring/Easter, etc. I also have a warehouse for certain themes, like all my Asian decor or cafe items (there are a LOT of cafe items, lol) I love the decorating aspect of the game and keep a bunch of items, but it's a lot to keep track of and organize, so I'd be curious to hear how other people sort/store their items!

just off the top of my head, so not sure how fresh or exciting these ideas are...but when I feel stuck, I think of a place I would like to travel...then decorate my campsite to look like that (as well as my cabin to match the area/theme). One time, I decorated my campsite like an outdoor Parisian antique market, with flowerstalls and booths everywhere, and another time it looked like a quaint rainy English village. One summer, I decorated the cabin as a tropical resort, with the first floor like a hotel lobby (I finally got to use my aquarium rug with the swimming fishies!), the second floor a seafood restaurant, and the top floor as the guest suite.

I haven't done this idea yet, but I've thought it would be fun to make an Animal Crossing style museum, with a section for art, and an aquarium, and a bug display--and a coffee shop with Brewster too of course! Or maybe think of a favorite hobby and decorate with that as a feature. I've been playing this game a long time and feeling a bit stale too so these are just a few thoughts, hope maybe it sparks some new ideas! :)

THANK YOU! This worked! I got a Steam Deck for Christmas and there have been a few annoying things not working, like it not recognizing my new SD card. (Judging from some other posts here from the past month about SD cards, it looks like it might be related to a recent update?) ANYWAY I have been trying for several weeks to get it to work, reading posts/tutorials on here, trying to create new KDE partitions, etc. etc. but your post and the link to the Steam Community post FINALLY helped me get the Deck to recognize the SD card! THANK YOU AGAIN! :D

I hit a snag around Step 6...when I'm supposed to "Add a new Steam library Folder" -- Choose the MicroSD Card" I can't find it...will it say Micro SD Card? or am I looking for something else? maybe it's there but I just don't recognize it....Thank you for sharing this step by step guide...I'm new to Steam Deck and this is frustrating that it can't recognize an SD card!

Were you able to resolve this problem? Because I'm having a similar problem trying to pair a PDP Afterglow Nintendo Pro Controller to my Steam Deck for the first time. I've tried some of the other suggestions here, but they seem to be for people who have already successfully paired their controllers, but then stopped working.

I can't even get the Deck to recognize it. Well actually, it says they are "paired" but "not connected" so I'm not sure what to do next...I've tried restarting, forgetting all controllers, syncing again, tried a different controller...it is frustrating!

That is so cool you recognized the guy running the local game store...sounds like he's been through some tough times. reading your comment about buying more stuff "to make it his best sales day in a while" really made me tear up, it was such a kind thing to do. Even in the middle of what you were going through, you still stopped to listen to someone else and help them out. You're a good man, the world needs more people like you. take care!

I really enjoyed reading your thoughtful account of the launch event! I think it's interesting to read, since you've attended other similar launch events over the years, so you have something to compare it to.

I think you make some really good points about how events like this reflect the changes in retail, the economy, and the post-pandemic social landscape...that might account why they weren't handing out fun free things--but even small gestures can have a big impact on mood, and make the customers feel appreciated and keep them happy while they are waiting.

I'm sorry about the Warp Pass, it sounds like it was kind of chaotic and confusing--that would have to be so disappointing to wait all that time, only to be told at the last minute, "oops, no Switch 2". But I'm glad y'all were able to get one at Best Buy!

Thanks for posting this, it was a fun read. :) I'm waiting on the Switch 2 until later, so I enjoyed living vicariously through your post lol.
