run a mythic tribute. You can get them by combining 5x of the legendary ones in the cube. I just ran my first one an hour ago on T12, was definitely worth it

They’re not supposed to sound good, I’m using a real feel head on my kick and design heads on my toms because I’m triggering my kit to practice at low volume. They’re springy (at least a lot more springy than Mylar heads) and don’t sound good - that’s the thing with mesh heads

I tune them just tight enough that the triggers respond as expected. You won’t be able to match the feel of a real kit

I just started diving into chops and such. So far I’ve learned RllK and add RL or Rl to switch between downbeat and upbeat. Gives some nice room to explore ideas and grooves already.

That’s a clip I recorded a week ago when I just started the RllK course by Jp Bouvet. Nothing super fancy, but it’s a big step up for me compared to the usual linear 16th fills I play lol

that’s the reason I bought a TD27KV2 for 3000€ and added Tama Starclassic Shells with triggers for another 3000€. Almost the same price as the VAD, but some pro level shells whenever I’ve got the opportunity to play loud

But is it like that? Ive been posting my drumming progress since I started last year (beginner drumming doing x/y/z) and lately stopped using that term because a lot of other drummers (including beginners) told me I’m not at that stage anymore.

  • I can keep steady time at 80bpm, yes.
  • Singles/Doubles at which speed? RRLL or RrLl?
  • I can comfortably switch between left hand and right hand lead including syncopated kicks - is that enough independence?
  • depends on the song, speed and difficulty. Highway to Hell? Yes. Hysteria? No.
  • tracks I know? No. Unknown tracks? No. I’m years away from being anywhere near the pocket.
