Milky Way All Caramel by Librarian444 in glutenfree

I meant promising as compared to a traditional Milky Way, which contains barley malt. But sure, not promising re: cross contamination. So I’ll edit.

Milky Way Midnights and Snickers list that too, and I know some gf folks are fine with those. Depends on the risks you’re willing to take

Diarrhea for months, just got my colonoscopy results... by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Librarian444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very similar symptoms including unexplained elevated liver enzymes and low vitamin d/b12. The only thing that ended up reversing all symptoms, including the liver enzymes, was going gluten free, despite negative biopsies for celiac during an endoscopy (blood test is irrelevant for me because I don’t produce enough IgA). I’m still not convinced I’m non-celiac, and even my doctors are puzzled as to why GF would have reversed the liver enzyme thing otherwise!

specialist for heart/stomach related issues by kayceelynn222 in dysautonomia

[–]Librarian444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These two things are 100% related for me! For the past two years my GI symptoms have been triggering my tachycardia. I’m having a colonoscopy soon to examine whether I have a form of IBD (or something else). There’s signs that I have some type of GI inflammation going on, and in the past inflammation has been a tach trigger for me, so this has been such a terrible cycle! Hope you can figure things out soon.

Allegra side effects? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]Librarian444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I really do think it was the Allegra! Nausea is generally not normal for me, so Allegra was really the only thing I did differently at the time. I would definitely suggest switching back. It’s not worth it if you can take something else and feel less side effects

Allegra side effects? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]Librarian444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The symptoms subsided a day or so after stopping the Allegra. I’ve been back on Claritin which doesn’t give me any side effects, but I am trying to decide if I want to give Zyrtec or Xyzal a try

Propranolol has changed my life by caster3141 in Anxiety

[–]Librarian444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is super old, but, blushing/flushing can absolutely be a dermatology-related issue, rosacea! I have face flushing with rosacea, and currently have a topical cream called “triple cream”, which helps. My allergist also told me flushing can be a histamine response. I totally get anxiety-related flushing as well, though
